Yup. The corner where I almost lost it. Seems I'm not alone. :D

What's the corner like, Dave? How do you set it up for a clean exit?
|
It's blind from the drivers perspective. Uphill, then a sharp left that drops down to the right. The hump at the crest does not help. You trust your tires are up to temp and don't lift. :) ... Until through that corner.
|
Sounds like fun. The Shenandoah Circuit at Summit Point Raceway has an off-camber blind turn over a crest (the Hook) that sounds similar. If your speed is right and the steering wheel is set correctly, it's a gas. Otherwise, well...

You are going the wrong way there Jim!

Good Morning folks. Back to Monday morning.
I had fun yesterday playing plumber. The outside waster faucet in the front was leaking. It just kept running even when off. Easy diagnosis, worn out seal. So I shut the waster off to the house and pulled the center rod on the faucet. I just took the entire thing to the local Ace Hardware. They had a huge bin of seals. We picked the appropriate one and it cost me 78 cents. Back home and re-install and it worked! I was stunned, only one trip to the store and it worked on the first try. I almost felt cheated of a full plumbing job experience. Usually I walk in and the experts say something like "Wow I have never seen one like that before in person. Those were made in Chernobyl and of course no one makes any replacement parts. You will have to have a EPA permit to disturb it and pay hazardous waste disposal team to haul it away. Then replace it with the new code style and have two city inspectors verify the installation and hire a plumber and a brick mason to to it. It should only take 8 to 12 months to get it replaced." |
I can not believe how stupid those VW drivers are, I have a 70 bug and there is no way I could contemplate taking a reverse camber tight corner at racing speed, and those wankers in the cabriolet full of idiots, can you imagine what would have happened, I was shocked that they would be so stupid, as a Mum I just couldn't contemplate if it had turned over like so many others, aaaahhhhhh!!! Great post Dave.

loved the fiat or is it an alpha julienne, close to the end that sits on its roof and doesn't even break a window, they can open the doors and close them with a "ping" upside down, unbelievably strong car!
