Yes, that stock price has certainly tanked these last 2 days. Well, since September, actually. But particularly precipitously these last 48 hours.

Well, ordered new belts and valve cover gaskets for the duc. Ill pull it apart and check clearances next weekend and order the shims......

Jferr006 01-25-2013 04:59 PM

Heh, I cant help but to say Ducati like Doo-cat-e with an accent like they do in the european races.

HHI944 01-25-2013 05:04 PM

I can't help but say it 'why the hell did I buy a bike that needs valve clearances checked so often'

Porsche-poor 01-25-2013 05:07 PM

Ahhh a weekend. Now who wants to take over herding cats.......er kids in a band?

HHI944 01-25-2013 05:08 PM

Of course then I just fire her up and listen to that beautiful italian growl

dunno, I've only had suzukis.

Jferr006 01-25-2013 05:10 PM

me!... what kind of music do they play?

HHI944 01-25-2013 05:13 PM

I had a gsxr once..........reliable, powerful, cheap to work on.........and bland
Ducs have a life of their own and no set of pipes on a jap bike can match the italian v twin growl

Jferr006 01-25-2013 05:16 PM

I rode a gixxer750 and hubs had a 1000. Once we had kids we had to chill on the risks of riding. The 1000 was so smoothe! One of our riding buddies that had a gix750 ended up getting a ducati and loved it.

HHI944 01-25-2013 05:20 PM

They really are awesome bikes. Valve clearances aren't horrible to do once you know what you're doing, but it's tedious and god help you if you go to the dealer.....

Jferr006 01-25-2013 05:26 PM

We're closely related to a suzuki dealer, which is why we've always had suzukis. Honestly I dont know if I'll ride a bike again or for a long time. Others drivers almost killed me many times so .. maybe when the kids are grown.

Yep, that convinced me to stop riding years ago, and I never looked back. BTW, welcome to the Stijn thread. Have you figured out what it's about yet? :D

One of our European cohorts. He's been MIA from the thread for a while now, as has Doc Fuffer (Markus a.k.a. livi, the thread starter).

Evening Gents, Tweeze and another lady wow, we are taking over the virtual manshed, can't believe it.

Welcome Janet, but I do think you need to follow the rules, and read every page, of course when I joined the thread we were only at page 1200 and something, and now 3800 pages later, it still goes on.

azzarule 01-25-2013 06:11 PM

and Janet, a good sized photo is mandatory, so we all know you really exist and so we feel we know you.

Rules are rules.

Yep Jim, one small step at a time, although as I said, all the talking on Tuesday was a waste of time. Progress is being made. The thought of the amount on the bill is scarry, its almost the cost of a fairly decent 911!!!

azzarule 01-25-2013 06:15 PM

So Rick you got over the chocolate fix, are you now feeling fat and frumpy, oh wait that's only us "ladies"!
