My 944 Turbo dynoed over 400 hp at the rear wheels when it was still the 2.5 liter inline 4 banger.

My old 73 911E became a fun hot-rod and track toy. The original engine was getting long in the tooth, so, instead of rebuilding it to stock, I built a 2.7RS-spec MFI engine. With some suspension and brake upgrades, it was a lot of fun.

My 964 is bone stock, except for the radio. When the SoCal house remodeling is finished, I'll survey the damage to my wallet and see about some suspension work so I can loose it's current astronaut ride height.

Just think, you get into a traffic jam and you simply drive over the other cars.

Well there is that, but aaahhhhhh...........no!

Suppose they think it looks cool.

And for them I suppose it is, in the hood.

All relative ....

Some have said I should get her repainted as she has some pitting on the bonnet, courtesy of the mice that must have lived in the rafters of the garage she sat in for 31 years, and a few blemishes from dents , but I like it. I am going to get some old nerf bars and take her bumpers off occasionally to make her look different for summer fun, but that's about it.

Brother In Law loves to get stock cars and then start modifying them, I just don't see the need.

Also we get a car and keep it for years, he swaps out cars evry two years or so, always has 5hit cars and complains that he can't afford a 'classic' like us, derr, if he stopped buying stock and spending 5hit loads modifying them, only to sell them cheaply for something else and start again, he could get a classic and spend some money making it worth more and keep it.
I am with ya Azzy. My 911 is mostly stock. The engine has not been touched. I did rebuild the suspension but only to replaced the worn out rubber bushings with new ER rubber bushings. "While I was in there" and everything was apart I did replace the obvious stuff, new ball joints and shocks, turbo tie-rods, rebuilt the steering rack, and rebuilt the calipers, and replaced the rotors and new pads, and a few other odds and ends. It was a fun experience. I have the Griffith's AC upgrades. That was easy to do and makes the car drivable in the summer heat. I need to get the leather seats redone.

My mech wants to put disc brakes on Miss Daisy, and if I tracked her (yeah right) I could understand, but the drums do just fine for me, I am not a speed freak in her, that's why she is called Miss Daisy!!!!

If I have any money left over after remodeling the SoCal house (unlikely!) I'd like to get more of a 964 Cup car look going on for the garage queen. I have the wheels sitting in my condo. I'd like to refresh/lower the suspension, and swap in a pair of Recaro Pole Positions with the multicolored seat inserts, like in the pic, in either shades of blue or grey. RS door panels. Chip the engine, too.

That pic is the interior of a 964RS. Now that I think of it, maybe I should've said 964RS look instead of 964 Cup car look.
