Phew, once again I am tired.

I spent most of the day in the garage. If you have seen my post about my AC fan if got the second relay installed. Now the fan only comes on if the AC compressor is running and the brakes are on. That is not the ideal "cure" but it works for now, I will put in a pressure switch next time I need to open the system to atmosphere.

I got the yard mowed and edged as well.

We had fun last night. A business associate of the wife has a huge party every year on labor day weekend. He invited Connor to come jam. Big mistake he stole the show. All acoustic guitars. The guys wife yelled high way to hell so Connor obliged her the drummer got in on it. The other two old guys just sat back and watched.

My cousin, Buddy had a little dog named Whiskers, it was some sort of long wire haired terrier. Looked kinda like the dog Benji from the movies. That little sucker would fetch anything you shot. I remember when about 6 sitting out in Grandma's yard with Buddy and Whiskers. Buddy was plinking locusts out of the huge trees with a BB gun, Whiskers would watch them fall, catch 'em, and fetch 'em to him.

Need to catch up on the thread for the weekend.

Off to work

Morning all!

GH85Carrera 09-03-2013 04:23 AM

Good Monday, um TUESDAY morning.

It feels like Monday but we can skip that and move on to Tuesday. :)

You likely have heard the phrase "it sucks to get old" before. I spent most of yesterday in the garage. Now my back and arms are sore. I would go broke in a day trying to turn pro. It took me 7 hours to wire up the new relay so that the condenser fan only runs if the compressor is on and the brakes are on.

My biggest problem is the while I am in there syndrome, and knowing that in several years I may be modifying the system again. I like easily reversible changes, and something that is not hacked together. That and I always find some other little project that needs attention. Cars with 320,000 miles always need tinkering.

When I did the engine swap the fender liner on the drivers side did not get back into position just right. I was happy to get the engine swap done and knew I could play with the fender liner later. The new relay needed a wire run into a area that the fender liner needed to come out. That means pull the battery & squirter bottle, then pull the fender liner. All just to run a wire where I wanted it hidden.

Morning Glen, Rick and Azz

Had a good labor day weekend at the cabin with my fiance and her parents and uncles. Lots of food, campfires and guns. Oh beer of course. Now back to work, glad inventory is over.

Is the inventory the stuff on shelves or the product sold?

Andy911sc 09-03-2013 05:29 AM

All raw materials (liquid and solid), jugs, cartons, bags, bailers, caps, and finished goods

Porsche-poor 09-03-2013 05:30 AM

Yawn. Back to school schedule. Is it nap time yet.

Sounds like a pain to inventory. We do volumetric calculations for a lot of companies. The companies with a big ol pile of "stuff" or a big hole if it is a pit. We can fly over and tell a company how much stuff is in the pile for tax purposes. Some companies want their auditors to actually see our airplane fly over.

Andy911sc 09-03-2013 11:51 AM

the consumables are a pain to count (cartons, jugs, bags... ect.). The raw materials aren't to bad. We have level lines and equations for our liquids in the bulk tanks and the powders come so many pounds per skid.
