When I first moved to Oklahoma I went down to Teners and old man Tener himself helped me find a pair of boots. The problem is my foot is WIDE. I wear a 3E shoe. It was tough to find boots to fit me. We found a pair and they felt great. I wore them enough to need to have them resoled. I finally figured out why my feet hurt at the end of a day. No real cushion with leather soles on concrete. I switched to walking shoes and my feet did not hurt anymore.

I still have a pair of work boots I bought in 1975. Someday if I do some real work I might wear them out.

We have already discussed that I am not moving there. :)

Porsche-poor 10-07-2013 12:43 PM

you can visit but like SloDave I had to sign papers stating I'd put him back on a plane in a few days.

He will have to sneak back for the next visit since he posted that FB picture.

Rick V 10-07-2013 01:07 PM

No.....

Porsche-poor 10-07-2013 01:14 PM

Within the confines of your property you will the rest can kiss off.

porsche4life 10-07-2013 01:15 PM

Rick, you'll be fun with boots in the desert.... In fact you may want some that are extra tall.... You know, for the rattlers!!! ;)

Rick V 10-07-2013 01:17 PM

Engineer boots are usually my daily footwear anyway so I am used to those

Porsche-poor 10-07-2013 01:30 PM

Word will spread with the snakes. "Don't piss off the dude in the boots he shoots first and asks no questions".

I had to laugh this weekend, I was standing in line at the bank behind two Mexican fellas and it dawned on me that as a general rule they are a short people. I am gonna feel like Gulliver.

Porsche-poor 10-07-2013 01:38 PM

there is two sides to that tale.............

RKDinOKC 10-07-2013 02:38 PM

Got you beat...4e

Got some custom western boots, lace up work boots, and fancy dress oxfords I never wear. Now I can add the fancy velcro boot and the custom frankenstein shoes to the never wear collection. Sure glad they took out that little toe knuckle so I can wear regular shoes and not custom orthopedics.

When in college went to visit cousins in Tennessee. Said they knew I was from Oklahoma because I wore a cowboy hat and python hiking boots. Told them I didn't wear pointy toed boots cause I don't ride horses.
