Maybe I should go to work at Joe's dealership, it sounds like they are in dire need of competent people

porsche4life 08-20-2013 03:33 PM

That or the product line just ensures job security...

But do you really want to deal with Lucas electronics?

Rick V 08-20-2013 03:37 PM

Won't be the first time. I keep spare virgins in the bottom of my toolbox for the sacrifices

Dude! You gonna share with the rest of us?

Rick V 08-20-2013 03:40 PM

Pfffffft

porsche4life 08-20-2013 03:40 PM

Like max would know what to do with one Rick, might as well share, he won't harm them. ;)

Rick V 08-20-2013 03:43 PM

Dude, lets find something new to beat Max up with

porsche4life 08-20-2013 03:44 PM

But he makes this so easy....

Flieger 08-20-2013 03:47 PM

Hey I said us, not me. Guess you don't want any of Rick's virgins.

Rick V 08-20-2013 03:49 PM

There is no way I would want a virgin, there is something to be said about a woman who knows what she is doing. :)
I'm too old to teach

Flieger 08-20-2013 03:50 PM

Lol.

HHI944 08-20-2013 05:26 PM

I'm on the verge of a meltdown...

Picked my car up today from having the epb actuator and thermo housing replaced...
Make the 24 mile trek home and park in the driveway..... Come back out to run some errands and the fuel gauge has lost its mind and I have an air suspension fault and the vehicle adjusts height randomly

GH85Carrera 08-20-2013 06:44 PM

That Jag sounds like one a friend of mine had. He bought it new and after 18 months it was in the shop 2/3 of the time. He would get it back from the dealer and most of the time it would not even get him home.

HHI944 08-20-2013 06:49 PM

Yeah, I'll recap
about a month ago, I got it back from having the transmission pan replaced and the transmission flushed along with recalibrating the right rear suspension.
Drove it home and had an ABS fault on the right rear within 25 miles of the dealership
Took it back, they replaced the wheels speed sensor on the RR wheel
Took it home and the next day, about 35 miles of driving, the EPB failed. I bought a tested, used EPB actuator, they installed it and it failed.
They installed their 'new' part and it's working so far
Made it 25 miles home and now these issues are going on

Everyone of these systems goes through one harness under the right rear seat that's known for getting corroded. I've asked about this harness a half dozen times and been blown off.....

HHI944 08-20-2013 06:51 PM

I'm about to lose my mind.....I can't even get the damn thing going long enough to trade it in......and I have this feeling I'm getting snowed.....

GH85Carrera 08-20-2013 07:18 PM

Snow in Hilton Head?

Good luck with that Jag.

Time for bed for us.

Noah930 08-20-2013 08:31 PM

You know it's bad when a Ducati is considered the most reliable scoot in the stable...

HHI944 08-20-2013 08:33 PM

The Duc is only 12.....

And the Landy has been the most reliable really.......That thing just runs and unlike the Duc, valve check and adjust is a 1 hr job.....
