That's why you bring a backup on those types of trips...

Driving home, I was taking it nice and easy (keeping it to no more than 14 over as 14 over is a 0 point offense) and three ricetards ripped by me at roughly 100 hooting and hollering like imbeciles. This was on the bridge back onto the island. Right after the bridge is a nice long sweeper that has claimed more than a few cars driven by idiots. So, as I come up to the curve, I notice two of the cars pulled over to the side of the road and the other on it's side on the opposite side of the road. Being a reasonably decent human being, I stopped to check on the driver. He was injured, likely broke a few bones, but not critical so I turned to leave. The other guys started yelling at me to help. I 'politely' informed them that if I stayed, it would be my duty to inform law enforcement of what I observed and they would likely spend the rest of the night in the county detention center. Didn't make a difference though, I asked one of the plantation security guards if he heard and chatter....two arrests, one in the hospital who would be arrested when he was discharged.

In about 1975 I was driving my 914 down to the Florida panhandle from Montgomery, AL in the bad old days of 55 MPH speed limit. It was a rural highway. I came up on a pickup with three guys in the cab drinking beer and tossing the bottles out the window. They tried to hit me with two throws but missed. I downshifted to pass them and get away from the south Alabama rednecks. They sped up. I ran to red line in 3rd and 4th and just as I got past them going way faster than I wanted the road had several curves. At the second curve I saw them slide right off the road and go into some tall weeds and brush. I sure as hell did not care if they made it or not. I was just glad I did not get hit with a beer bottle.

Good Friday morning folks.

turns out we were both wrong. Looks like we are forming a Calcium Phosphite.... damnit. I was closer...lol

GH85Carrera 03-28-2014 04:58 AM

Just change a few electrons around!

RKDinOKC 03-28-2014 05:18 AM

Got Milk?

GH85Carrera 03-28-2014 05:19 AM

Nope, just coffee, BLACK.

Andy911sc 03-28-2014 05:23 AM

we just need to explain to the v.p. of sales that the Magnesium needs to be removed. Makes it unstable.

GH85Carrera 03-28-2014 05:27 AM

Can you charge more for the no magnesium version?
Like low sodium soup cost more because they did NOT add the salt.

Andy911sc 03-28-2014 05:33 AM

No, the plants like the magnesium

GH85Carrera 03-28-2014 05:55 AM

Well most folks like the salt! :) :D

I know I am not fond of Magnesium Citrate.

I will "pass" (pun intended) on that.

Andy911sc 03-28-2014 06:52 AM

That's the ingredient we are using Mag Citrate. at a .5% Mg in Solution. It had the least amount of precipitate as apposed to using mg sulfate of mg chloride.

GH85Carrera 03-28-2014 07:16 AM

So next time I have some leftover Mag Citrate I can use it as plant food?

My doc made me drink plant food!

No wonder I spent the evening in the bathroom.

It has been quiet around here today and yesterday.

I am all alone!

My co-workers are out of the office.

Now when the phone rings it wakes me up and I have to answer it all by myself!

They promised they were not really flying out to Vegas for hookers and blow and leaving me here alone to run the place. Heck I am married so I could not go anyway. :p

Andy911sc 03-28-2014 08:08 AM

we tend to use food grade products in some of our custom liquid fertilizer formulations

Speaking of science. I've always loved neon and the science behind it. I understand why it's use has fallen off in recent years, but I love seeing these artists work. Slow paced but a very neat video.

There's an Italian joint in downtown Edmond that you can eat dinner and watch them blow glass. They mostly make those funky bowls that are supposed to be artsy but to me it just looks like they couldn't make a nice round one so they called it art.

My Mother's cousin was the senior art professor at OU and a well recognized modern artist. He would just spray paint on a canvas until is started running every where, then hit it with a blow torch to make it crack and bubble and throw stuff at it to make dents and sometimes get stuck to the paint. Then he would make up some thing that it was supposed to be with a back story like he knew what he was trying paint before he started..

GH85Carrera 03-28-2014 10:07 AM

It is astonishing what some people call art, but what do I know.

We photographed a genuine Da Vinci that was SOLD to the Getty museum for several million bucks. I got to actually touch it!

If I saw it at a garage sale for 50 bucks I would not have bought it to hang on my walls.

I can see the "art" behind a talented neon sign maker. I can appreciate the talent and skill of a good glass blower. There is a lot of "art" hanging in museums that is just crap. But like I said, what do I know. Just don't use my money to pay the artist and I don't care.

RKDinOKC 03-28-2014 10:15 AM

KImray sells a device that tests the specific gravity of gas and oil, a gravitometer. It has glass tubing that is very exacting to ensure it stays calibrated. A local neon sign shop blows the glass work for the device.

All of the artwork one the walls in my house was done by me, Mom, or a family member. Even have one a them there blow torn paintings. We gots oils, watercolors, cross stitch, decoupage, some photos, and even a big rooster made from beans, corn, sunflower seeds, peas, blackeyed peas, etc.

I learned long ago my artistic skills are almost as good as musical talents.

I can play a MP3 player, CD, DVD & even blue ray! I could play a radio but there is nothing on but commercials so I don't bother. I can draw stick figures if I try hard.

RKDinOKC 03-28-2014 10:23 AM

Took my Mom to her cousin the professor/artist's funeral. There were a LOT of people from the art world there talking all artsy fartsy. My Mom made the comment that I was and artist too. The lady next to me asked what medium I worked in I said, "This is my Mom, I do commericlal art on a computer." The lady politely said, yes everyone is going to computers now. One of the artists they were talking about made huge blow up vegetables that holds it's shape with a fan like a bouncy castle.
