I can in a couple of weeks Sid

porsche4life 12-19-2014 12:30 PM

I hope to be driving it by then... Should be an easy fix.

Rick V 12-19-2014 12:31 PM

Easy isnt the word for it, simple is more like it

flipper35 12-19-2014 12:33 PM

But Sid, it is HOT in the summertime there. HOT. Really stinking hot. You can't pee on a tree out hiking because it evaporates too quickly hot.

porsche4life 12-19-2014 12:40 PM

Not up in the mountains! It only gets into the 90s up there.. Thats not HOT. ;)

Rick V 12-19-2014 12:40 PM

Heat for three months then nothing but nice weather for the next nine, yeah I am all about it

That is why everyone stays in the air conditioned comfort.

The only thing you have to worry about in the summer in Az is making sure the barrel doesn't get too hot and start throwing off the accuracy

It's so hot in Arizona that...

the birds have to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground.
the potatoes cook underground, and all you have to do to have lunch is to pull one out and add butter, salt and pepper.
farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying hard-boiled eggs.
the cows are giving evaporated milk.
the trees are whistling for the dogs.
you no longer associate bridges (or rivers) with water.
you can say 113 degrees without fainting.

One thing I have never said in my life, is that it is too hot unless there was a torch involved, maybe a welder too

Rick, that's why you alternate spoons.

The mountains aren't that bad. We had them close by where we lived in CA. Julian was a nice visit even if you only stayed long enough to get gas because the back road up there was a great road. The weather wasn't bad there in the summer time.

The problem is living not in the mountains the rest of the time there. I lived in that stuff for almost a decade. Never acclimated to it.

I will wait until next July or August and see if you repeat that.

Rick V 12-19-2014 01:10 PM

Fair enough, I love the heat, you have to remember I have a bad knee, a messed up shoulder and my hands resemble something from a bad horror movie. The heat allows me to move and not hurt

flipper35 12-19-2014 01:17 PM

I have an uncle that would wear long sleeves while pitching fast pitch softball in 90* weather so he wouldn't get cold. He has yet to find a climate too hot. I suspect Rick is similar. I, on the other hand, sweat when outside and only got really cold once last year during deer season when it was below 0 and the wind chill was 35* below and I was standing. Once I got moving I was OK.

Rick V 12-19-2014 01:25 PM

I don't even want to see a picture of wind chill -35.

Just doing a little brushing up on the laws of Arizona and I have to say I am liking it more and more. A little light reading for anybody interested.

I am a b tch. And not in a good (for me) way.

HHI944 12-19-2014 02:11 PM

I went pew about 500 times today.....the new AR stock functioned beautifully.

Rick V 12-19-2014 02:11 PM

Are you also having to carry your cats food to the place where THEY want to eat?
