We've always just had a couple of those little night light things you plug into a plugin to provide just enough light to keep from bumping into things, but not enough to really wake you up.

Nope, complete blackness if I expect to sleep, and I have to have a fan running for some white noise, otherwise I hear every car going by, and every wind gust.

Think I might be shopping for a new fridge at some point. It has started making a noise that sounds like a fart when it shuts off. While kind of funny in a quiet house, it can't be a good thing.

We have a little night light in the hall outside of our bedroom. It is there mostly for getting to the guest bathroom. In the master bathroom there is a large glass block window above the Jacuzzi tub. The morning sun will shine into that window so we keep the doors to the master bathroom closed at night.

Our male dog is black and invisible in the darkened room. If the lights are off and it is dark I have to shuffle. I can only guess he assumes I can see as well in low light as a dog.

Good Monday morning everyone.

Be ready for sticker shock if you buy a new one. It is hard to find a good fridge for under a grand anymore.

At first I thought the fart noise was Pepper. I would love to train her to bark at someone when they fart, that would be hilarious!

The fridge I've got now wasn't cheap way back when. It's a KitchenAid with glass shelves and ball bearing rubber rollers on the shelves and drawers. Maybe the noise is just a fan or something I can replace. However, I would like to have one of those that doesn't stick out any farther than the counter, It would make my small kitchen feel bigger. And since it's just me, it doesn't need to be a walk-in or anything like that. Haven't had a full fridge since it was just me and Mom after my brother and his girlfriend moved out. Big difference in food for 4 and food for 2. Finding it difficult to get motivated to cook for just me. Food just isn't packaged for a single person, end up throwing out more than I can eat. And not a fan of freezing stuff. Cooked a really good pot roast a few months ago, it was absolutely delicious, but still ended up tossing over half. Heck, just the other day I tossed half a 6 inch subway sandwich.

One of my favorite meals in my singe days was a pot roast. I was very broke so small pot roast, lots of carrots and taters. Eat a little pot roads, all of taters and carrots. Add more taters and carrots water and cook it some more. I could eat for several days before the meat was gone. Just get a cheap pot roast with a lot of fat. After a week of cooking it it was tender.

I used to cook a lot of stuff on the gas grill in the back yard.

That is really my grill in my back yard. Even if it snowed I could gook a chicken out there.

Buy whole chicken. Cut it in half and throw away that colostomy bag of stuff and grill for 20 minutes, flip, 20 minutes, flip and 20 more minutes. Eat 1/2 chicken. Burp. Nuke other half the next day. Burp. Cheap meal.

Oh, I CAN cook. Just not very motivated to actually do it. Especially if the instructions have any association with a colostomy bag.

Oh yuk, Arbys roast beef served like a gyros is NOT by any means anything even close to a gyros or even any good for that matter.

Well, it seems every whole chicken I buy has a bag of gross parts stuffed into the center of the chicken. How I always manage to pick the chicken that had a colostomy I guess is something of a vast conspiracy.

If I was truly starving I might check out those parts and see if there is anything to eat but since a major goal of mine is to never get that hungry I just toss that bag of gross parts. So far I have successfully avoided starvation. That is one reason I don't have any desire to go camping. I hear stories of campers and backpackers getting lost and having to eat bugs and earthworms. I prefer motels with a free Continental breakfast and free coffee. Bugs and worms are off my regular menu.

My wife sends me out on hunting - gathering missions looking for food. I find places with big signs out front and easy parking. I just let them have a little piece of plastic I carry in my wallet and they give me exactly the food I wanted. It is a cool skill I developed long ago.

Note to self, when out of pocket, try to at least read some of the thread.

I think Joe gave Livi a new song. He should charge royalties of some sort.

Rick, trade ya!

We decided to celebrate Easter by having family members throw up. Easter dinner is tonight for us. Us healthy ones had the venison version of prime rib on the grill last night.
