Morning Y'all,
Rainy hump day here

Jim Richards 04-08-2015 01:45 AM

Hi Rick. It's soggy here, too. Meh.

Rick V 04-08-2015 02:41 AM

It'll help knock the pollen out, until this weekend when everything will explode into full bloom.

Mud season is in full swing, can't hardly walk to the barn to feed the horses. Basement sump hole was plugged yesterday, 4" water on unfinished, concrete basement floor. I ran the aux pump for 6 hours into the yard, time to get the drain snake out.

Oh Haha 04-08-2015 03:08 AM

Hey hey.

Thunderstorms here right now. We are off to the East side of MI to pick up my 2 nieces.
yay

Safe travels.

Helloooooo and good morning groovers.

Jim Richards 04-08-2015 04:04 AM

Mornin' Jeff, Wayne, and ckelly.

Jeff, is your retirement training over with? I sure could use some of that right now. Paper pushing & managerial crap isn't even registering a pulse on my enthusiasm meter. Especially since the temps outside are starting to get comfortable. Well, maybe not today....cool and soggy.

GH85Carrera 04-08-2015 04:12 AM

Good Hump day morning everyone.

They are predicting thunderstorms for this afternoon. They have had the prediction since last week that today is a day to watch the skies. Not a good day to be oblivious.

Hopefully we will just get lots of rain. No lumpy frozen water or excessive winds.

Outback Porsche 04-08-2015 04:27 AM

Morning Jim.

Just halfway through this set of retirement and still not ready to go back. I had a call from the w place yesterday and was hit with the question 'are you still coming back next month?' through the conversation. It kinda made me feel good about myself.

After the plumbing mayhem on Saturday, Sunday was spent unpacking and helping with house/yard work after a month of neglect. Monday was a lazy day watching footy on the idiot box - the Aussie rules season has finally started.

The last two days have me pottering around the house. That en suite renno is finally getting a bit of attention and I'm bashing render off the cinder block walls at the moment. I should finish that part tomorrow before golf in the arvo. Ya gotta pace these things, and it is retirement training after all.

Hopefully by early next week I can have the floor and all the walls preped for waterproofing. Then I can start on the wiring changes and then fitting the new window before doing the actual waterproofing. It's looking like I'm gunna be busy between golf games for the next few weeks.

I'm glad it's cooling down now, it's certainly making working in that small space much more tolerable.

Time for the fart sack for me gents. Night all

GH85Carrera 04-08-2015 05:12 AM

Night Jeff.

Get rested up for another day or relaxing.

RKDinOKC 04-08-2015 07:22 AM

Good Morning.

Okay, Okay, I'm awake.

ckelly78z 04-08-2015 07:46 AM

Outback's vacation/retirement practice sounds kinda like mine. I had two days off last week and managed to cut up and load and unload 2 truck loads of firewood, I rebuilt the carb on my enduro, helped my son install a stereo system in his truck, cleaned out the wet stuff and water from the basement with the plugged sump hole, and even did all the laundry for my wife.

Sometimes, it's good to go back to work and relax.

Some thunderstorms last night. Soggy and 47* this morning and they are calling for more rain the rest of the week. I can deal with rain during the week as long as it is sunny on the weekends. Looks like this weekend is shot though. I volunteered to do some flooring for the church coffee shop but the original plan is out the window and they are putting in a different floor than originally planned so the old asphalt tile has to come out and be scrapped clean and smooth. What would have been a couple nights job has turned into many nights and the weekend. I told my wife I am not volunteering for anything again. The flooring company asked if I wanted a job there so at least I have a fallback if this career falls through. I don't think I would like to go back to commercial floor installation again, though it was nice working for dad believe it or not.

Just in time for lunch!

Still having a difficult time getting motivated to do anything I don't absolutely have to. Eating is even feeling optional, especially if I have to cook something.

flipper35 04-08-2015 08:44 AM

With my wife and son still not eating my daughter thought she would cook for the two of us. She got the charcoal grill going with the chimney starter and prepped the meat and got everything going. All I had to do was turn the roast when it was time and check the temp since she pulled the I have homework excuse. Venison tenderloin and back-strap smoked over hickory with cheesy potatoes and potato salad and layered carrot cake left from Sunday for desert. Mmmmmm.

This'll wake you up Richard!

My first band,"BOIZ". I'm the one that apparently missed the memo on wearing jeans and boots to the photo shoot. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1428511726.jpg

flipper35 04-08-2015 08:51 AM

Couldn't decide so you became a country hair band?
