The best solution so far for cutting the cableTV cord and still getting programming.
Pretty simple and already set up, but poked around a bit and didn't find any HD.
Man, my friend that sends me this stuff has just Got to get a bigger TV.
Dug into this a bit more... Looks like the Fire TV supports it. I've been planning to build a HTPC, but honestly between the $99 Fire TV and this I think I'd be good....

Hahaha, gee, thanks, Sid.

We need to work on our SoCal trip timing. We won't be there until early July.

Morning all

I finished a lovely Friday with a wander round the golf course. Now settling into the lounge to watch my team (and hopefully beat Port Adelaide) play Friday night footy.

Nothing major planned for the weekend other than pampering the birthday people. Two tomorrow (Sharyn and our daughter) and one (our son) on Sunday.

I got the yard mowed last night. Sunset is at 8:45 and I shut the mower off at 9:15. It was pretty much dark when I finished. I had to turn on all the outside lights to see. I have enough lights in the back yard to mow at night as part of my grand plan. For some reason when the sun is not in the sky it is much cooler, much darker but cooler.

Friday Friday Friday Friday Friday

This weekend is the start of the start of packing process for the 911. I want everything ready to go except the clothes by Thursday evening. The clothes are always the last to get packed due to my passenger. Well the clothes and the ice chest.

Wow, strange double post there. I posted and it did not show up. I went back to the opening page of the forum and back into this one and the post was not there. I posted it again and suddenly is was deja vu all over again.

May was far and away the wettest month on record ever for Oklahoma. Then June arrived and the rain stopped. Until today. The rain is back and it is supposed to rain every day for the next 5 or 6 days. The yard was a thick jungle after just 5 days. Bermuda grass LOVES LOVES LOVES heat and sunshine and that is what we have had this month. It is fertilized and GREEN and growing. It looks like I can mow it Thursday or Friday before our trip. It will be a jungle when we get back. The short little dogs we have may disappear into the thick grass.

Oh yea. They will hope the tall grass slows down that evil squirrel that invades THEIR back yard and it need to die. At least they think so.

Went to see 'Jurassic world' last night. It was good, but not great. Graphics were friggin awesome, just felt a bit hollow compared to Jurassic Park.

I had heard is was a quasi reboot of the original but decent. Thought about asking our daughter if she wanted to see it. I am sure our son would but I don't think he is ready for it at 5. He loves dinosaurs and explosions. If someone made a napalm shooting dinosaur commando as an enemy for the Hulk it would be his perfect movie. Sounded like Godzilla to me.

I don't know of any "great" movies that are out now or recently.
