that is true and also why I avoid staying up late if I can. lately I just don't sleep well at all so its a never ending cycle.
|
Sleeping is just like breathing. Real easy and it comes natural.
Almost nap time! :) |
Ah to sleep, per chance to dream.
|
Sleeping is easy if it isn't quiet. I need background noise to sleep well. I also like to sleep a long time. That is the issue. When I was young I could get by on 4 hours a night and sleep in on my day off. Now I find I need more than 6 hours to function properly. This wouldn't be an issue if someone would stretch the hours between 2 and 6 am so they were 6 hours in length.
I can get up early for hunting, fishing and racing. Work, not so much. |
medication induced insomnia.....................

some how I think I'd feel the same getting up as I do now.....

Today is Disneyland's 60th Anniversary. In 1955 admission was $1, now it's $99.
|
They have some really cool rides now. 99 times better than before.
The trip to Mars is just astonishing. The force of liftoff and then the short weightless period is way cool. All while inside a building. I am pretty sure we did not really go to Mars since the ride was over and we were back in the same place. |
Hugh graciously took me to Disneyland last week. It was ridiculously crowded then. Today it must be even more packed.
|
The house of mouse is always packed. at least when I have been there.
|
Yea, it stays pretty busy. It would be interesting to see what the day's "take" is for the park. No doubt the costs are high as well. And what is the net profit?
That is why they are there. |
Per park numbers for Disney seems to be a highly kept secret. Their annual report lumps all the parks together with the parks admissions being a whopping 1/3 of the revenue. Overall average is for every $7 you spend they profit $1.
Haven't been to a Disney park since I was 9, there was no Disney World and the newest attraction that had just opened was the Haunted Mansion. |
We went several years ago and we had a blast. Lots of people asked where our kids or grand kids were. My wife would point to me and I would point to her.
Just check out my motto in my signature. |
great attitude Glen!

I've been to Disney World (Orlando) 3 times over the years, but haven't been there for about 15 years now. We made the mistake of doing 3 parks in 3 days after driving 1000 miles to get there, so by the third day, we were tired and irritated with prices of everything and too many people. I am willing to go back in a few years when I retire and have the time, and money to be relaxed.

But the crowds were a bit overwhelming. If there were half the people there, it would still have been good busy (who wants to go to a deserted park?), but not nearly as ridiculously/prohibitively so. The mom of one of the kids with whom we went has an annual pass, and she confessed that sometimes she drops off the kids at school and goes to DL just to wander around. I could see doing that. |
Guy at work and his wife go to disney world 3-4 times a year for a week at a time and do not take any kids or grandkids. They have also been on one of the cruises. He has a Disney theme picture frame on his desk with a snapshot of his wife dressed up like Minnie Mouse with the background in the pic obviously a hotel room.
