Grrr. 3rd nail in a tire in the DD within the past 2 months.

We just picked up a screw in one of the Jetta's tires. Screw that!

We got it fixed quickly this morning and we gave the guy who fixed it a really good tip. We're back in action! Muhahaha!

I had to plug one of the tires on Thuys van last week after picking up a screw. I prefer to have them patched, but the tires are to the point that if they get dismounted, they just need replaced. That will be done in a month or two. She doesn't drive much.

Jeepers Pete! Don't tell me that winter is (almost) here!

We went to the Shenandoah Natl Park yesterday, and it was insanely crowded. Turned around and left right away, and we had a great time wandering around and hiking at Harpers Ferry Natl Park. Being old is great too. My $10 lifetime park pass rocks!!!

pete3799 10-18-2015 12:03 PM

Getting there Jim.
Sun is out now....snow is gone. Warmed up to 34* presently

Jim Richards 10-18-2015 12:47 PM

We started out at 34 degrees this morning. Too damn cold for me!

Beth and I hiked to Doyle's falls today. Not as long of a hike as last weekend but it is a harder hike. It was almost too cold for me but it was a nice day. As much as I want to leave va, I have to admit, my back yard is a beautiful place

Noah930 10-18-2015 04:42 PM

Beautiful pictures, Rick. Nothing like that anywhere near my backyard--just suburbia. But I went to the local annual street fair today. Perfect So Cal weather. Packed with people. The original Batmobile and a real Cobra in the car show portion. Lots of MILFs and other attractive young women.

We enjoyed the Martian. It is nice to see a scientist as a smart tough good guy that works hard to stay alive.
Cool flick.

Noah930 10-18-2015 06:09 PM

We saw Bridge of Spies last night. Also a good flick.

RKDinOKC 10-18-2015 06:26 PM

one of the Adam West batmobiles lives here in the OKC area. Or used to.

HHI944 10-18-2015 07:16 PM

Looks much like where I grew up in western NC. There were two creeks that met about 75 ft from my bedroom. Good trout fishing. I could see a small waterfall like that out my window (the smaller creek was about that size before it joined the larger one). I couldn't wait to escape. Looks pretty inviting now.

We only owned a couple acres, but it adjoined the national forest on one side and a relative's property on the other (long since sold, but not developed).

Tremors 5! Didn't know they made past 2. what, Is it Tremors vs.Preditor or maybe Jason?

Its not like AZ is exactly an ugly place.... This is a park thats damn near IN Tucson. Seven falls, about an 8mi round trip hike, but the little munchkins made it!

Havasupai falls is a nice weekend trip. You can rent a mule to haul up to 120lbs of gear for you, so all you have to carry is your fat ass!

Then there's the antelope Canyons.... ;)

Most people, GREATLY underestimate how insanely beautiful this state is. I LOVE AZ.
