I had the bathroom door shut so he couldn't get out. Pulled him out and wrapped him up in a towel to dry up. I sat on the floor with the hair dryer on low and he was all about that. Nice warm air and someone rubbing his hair.

Porsche-poor 12-17-2015 08:02 AM

just wait till he goes out side and rolls in something dead.

My wife gives our dachshunds baths as needed. Reuben, the male whines when the female is getting hers like he can't wait for his turn. I really think it is because he gets a treat when Mrs. Carrera puts him in the sink. He will do anything for a treat. He is food motivated.

We did a job for a legal firm three years ago and it is getting close to trial i guess. The opposing team had the intern secretary call me and ask questions about the availability of the images. I explained it to her and then she explained it to her boss who explained it to the lead attorney and then he called the expert on the team they will hire and he asked questions and it came back through the pipeline and it was incoherent, almost like what does the image smell like lavender or chocolate?

I suggested they have the "expert" they are hiring to contact me directly. Wow, that was a simple conversation and he sounded like he really knew his job. I am sending out what he wants. Easy Peazy.

I hate it when any firm has the new secretary call us and ask for every possible combination of products or services we provide and never tells us what they want. Then they want a very precise cost of something they don't even know how to ask for or what they need.

Porsche-poor 12-17-2015 08:48 AM

the fee for such services should be a million or more

Pepper gets her Christmas grooming tomorrow. I take her to get a bath and nails trimmed because I can't bring myself to trim her nails. First, when tried to trim my first golden's nails she whimpered, then my second golden trimmed her own nails (chewing on them). Second seems this golden needs her anal glands emptied, have no idea what that neans, (readly don't want invovled).

She loves going to the groomer and playing with the other dogs there.

GH85Carrera 12-17-2015 09:11 AM

So you get those calls as well.

Our favorite question is how much does an aerial cost?

It is like asking how much a car costs. Somewhere between a few hundred and a few hundred grand or more. I always want to answer "how much can you afford"

Why would the boss ask the new intern to call us and ask complex questions that even he does not understand? I think it is a form or hazing for the new interns. The boss is testing how she can think and adapt to complex concepts.

Ya stick you finger in their but and squeeze! Out squirts STINKY stuff. It is possible to have the glands removed if you have a good vet. Our previous pair of dogs had a lot of problems with anal glands. We had them fixed and no more problem. It is expensive.

Good afternoon gents and lady lurkers.

Yesterday was a good day. Took the kids to school, went home and took a nap. Got up, putzed around a bit. Took my wife to town, did some shopping, had a late lunch together. Was a pretty good celebration of 15 years of marriage.

Today is another Monday and tomorrow is Friday. Woo Hoo!

The kids want to see Star Wars. I do to but not on opening weekend.

Oh Haha 12-17-2015 09:53 AM

richard-go let a bit of air out of a Cayenne tire. Take a whiff.

THAT'S what anal glands smell like.

Our dog had a problem one time and we had to have his fixed up.

Happy Anniversary Brent.SmileWavy

Whew, back from a "quick trip."

I needed a new stock of Brad Penn oil for the two flat tappet cars I drive. 10-30 for the Elky, 20-50 for the 911.

The local distributor is in the NW part of town and so is my office. I am just 7 miles or so from the middle of Oklahoma City, just straight north of downtown. Oklahoma City metro area is right at 1,000 square miles. I drove the shortest route to the oil wholesaler and it was "only 17 miles each way" and I never got out of a small part the NW 1/4 of the city. It is easy to drive 70 miles in one direction and never leave Oklahoma City. I am just glad the traffic never slowed down below the 60 or 65 MPH speed limit.

Porsche-poor 12-17-2015 10:48 AM

Last night due to the season and an accident it took me nearly an hour to get from work to kids school and then home. Normally that's a 15-20 minute hop.

GH85Carrera 12-17-2015 12:52 PM

At the oil distribution warehouse as soon as I told them what type of oil I wanted one employee walked back into the warehouse and grabbed a case of each and he put them on the front counter. I was talking to another guy and I saw another employee grab my oil and head out the door. I knew he was just putting them in the back of the Elky. When he came back in the ticket was still not ready so I said to the guy in a calm and not accusing tone "I assume you put the oil in the back of my Elky and did not just steal them" and then I smiled. He said nope, I don't need to steal your oil I work at an oil warehouse, and we have several truckloads of oil back there"

I thanked him for hauling the oil out there. It was obvious they all worked well together. I said to them all "It is plain to see you are a well oiled team" and they were all polite enough to laugh a little.

The managed said they get 45 truck loads of oil in a month. That is a lot of oil.

Assume Brad's is going in the GTS when and if it actually goes back together.

Told me Tuesday the new wrist pin snap rings finally came in. So it was ready to re-assemble.

Didn't think Goldens had that poop gland thing. Never had an issue with the other two.

Took SIL to eye appointment at 1pm. Took her to a late lunch after and just got home.
We went to a new mexican place. She had had her eyes dilated and me with my close only reading due to retinopathy we almost didn't find the place. It was pretty good, but not exceptional. They did give you 4 kinds of salsa with yur chips. red, queso, guacamole sour cream, and jalapeno sour cream. And they offered a hot salsa but I thought 4 was enough for chips.

RKDinOKC 12-17-2015 02:13 PM

Ordered a case of canned mangos to make my Christmas Chip Juice. It will be here tomorrow.
For many years now I've made mango/apricot chip juice to give for Christmas Presents. Everyone tells me they like it so they are getting it again. Call it chip juice because it ain't chunky but not runny like most salsas, It is thick enough it sticks to a chip when you dip it.

Have gone from giving a pint to each person or group to a quart or more. My niece and nephews families have both asked for more each year.

Starting Christmas chip juice production tonite.

I am usually sick of it by the time I make all the canned mangos I have into chip juice.

The commute home tonight was through s*** flurries. The storm had blown through and it is over for us. That is more than enough of the frozen water products for the winter. Winter has not officially arrived but it got cold today. That is enough. It is supposed to be low 60s for the Autocross on Sunday.

Oh Haha 12-17-2015 02:32 PM

Glen--the Elky has a flat tappet stick in it? I thought the non-racey crate engines had hydraulic cams.

GH85Carrera 12-17-2015 02:55 PM

Stijn!!

Nope. I bought the $1,700 base model 350. It is actually considered a 1985 engine with the old style rope main bearing seal. It bolted right up and the manifolds were perfect fit. Nothing new and modern. All 1980s cheap.
