Good morning all.

I have to go get my 911 tag today or at least soon. If I get it by the 26th is is $22.50, if I wait for a month is $27.50. I will save the 5 bucks and do it today. The last tag took almost 10 minutes total time to renew. I will see if I can get that down to 9 minutes. ;)

I renewed my truck's tag online. The only PITA was that I had to spend twenty minutes (including drive time) to get its OBD2 port scanned for bi-annual smog.

Friend of mine in Austin let his license laps. To get it re-instated he had to take both written and driving tests. And there was a probationary period where he was given a permit to drive back and forth for work only for 6 months.

Made the comment that we had 10 months we could just pay a late fee and his wife said they had to do that too.

I think maybe he got pulled over with an out of date license so the state was making it as difficult a possible to try to keep him from doing it again.

I figured by the time I logged on and likely would have to set up an account or type in the information I would spend just as much time if not more to do it on line. I think they charge a fee to use a credit card. I did have to drive 1.1 miles round trip so that is likely the cost of the credit card fee. It was pretty quick and painless.

Vet says he thinks Pepper just bumped her head and not to worry about it. I said, oh, so she is a half wit then!

Left her at the groomers next door to my vet. Pepper sure loves being with all the other dogs there. It's like a play date for her.

The groomer asked Pepper to say "Hello", at the same time another dog somewhere else in her shop said hello also.

Groomer asked me if Pepper calmed down a little if she could take Pepper to a groomer competition thing. I said as long as it wasn't one of those where they try to make the dog look like anything but a dog. She said it was for making dogs look like they were supposed to and Pepper is show quality.

Brent,

For one of those admin tasks. How about being able to produce a list of all the other mailboxes a user has permissions to.
Doesn't seem to work on 365, but does on local exchange.

Thanks Richard, I was not sure if the laptop changed anything. The nature of conversing this way. :)

Ours you have to do a new to you car in person and the rest is electronic.

When I moved to CA I had to take the Cobra to a "special" smog inspection station in Oceanside, a 2.5 hour drive without traffic. Add in San Diego rush hour and it is a long time to sit in a small, hot car. Except for the marine layer, which was a little cool but then left me hot and wet headed up the coast. Long story short: What a screwed up mess to find out it was smog exempt.

Now that it took an hour to finish that post because of calls, she has no permissions to any other mailbox. She just wants to see if the slot is open or not. It does sound like an autodiscover thing to me. Thanks again. I have taken enough of your time and I think we have a plan. Will let you know how it goes.

House sure feels empty without the Pepper!

In Oklahoma if you let your driver's license expire you start over just like a new driver at age 16. Do not ever let it expire!

RKDinOKC 08-18-2016 11:05 AM

My brother let my Mom's expire and I had to get a birth certificate and proof of residence just so she could on for a photo ID. It was when I was down with my foot and he said he would take care of it, he let it expire.

Crazy customers.

A company that has never done business with us before called up and wants magic. They are in a major rush to have new aerials of a LARGE area in Baton Rouge flown and they want a final product in two days maximum. The kicker, they don't want to pay more than 4 grand. Yea, right.

I want a new Cayman GT4 but I will not pay more than 10K for it. And I want it delivered to my door in two days.

We told them their budget was not even in the ballpark and delivery for that big of a project is not just instant. They said they would call the satellite vendors. Go for it, the imagery is always rented and expensive. 100% of the satellites are in orbit. That is a bit above the cloud cover. All they will be seeing is gray.

You gonna have to bear with me at least till it gets here in person...

My Cayenne Turbo the grills are painted same color of body instead of black.
The pic I found of a Cayenne the same color as mine with the same wheels I am going to put on it has the grill black.
Does the black look better?

Gonna have to get me some clear side marker lights like in the second picture.

GH85Carrera 08-18-2016 12:48 PM

I like the body color grill but I bet it is a pain to keep looking nice. Matte black grill will hide dirt and crud better than paint I would think. For sure it would be a pain to wax the paint on the grill.

RKDinOKC 08-18-2016 01:18 PM

Usually don't like the clear side lights, but for some reason it looks better. They are a factory Euro lights, $36.

Found one of the options you could get was the grill painted to match the silver trim around the windows and along the lower part below the doors, the roof rack rails, and the Cayenne Turbo script on the rear hatch.
The center pic the grill is they way mine is painted the Jarama Beige body color.
Wonder if the silver matching the trim would look better?

I know, I'm nutz with the photoshop. I know that after a couple of months I won't even notice what color the grills are.

The black grills on the range rover looked terrible, they kept turning that oxidized gray.

The black grills weren't too bad on my current cayenne because the bottom trim (under the grill where the fog lights are) was also black and faded the same.

On this one the bottom panels are body color.

There is also a chrome or black mesh screen that covers the grill openings. Had that on my BoxsterS and it sure kept the leaves and bugs out of the radiators. Mechanic said was was used to cleaning them while in for routine oil changes etc. but was surprised at how clean they were.

I like the middle one. Just a bit different colour suits the body colour (a nice colour too).

Woohoo, weekend!

GH85Carrera 08-19-2016 04:09 AM

Good Friday morning everyone.

Oh Haha 08-19-2016 04:09 AM

Morning.

I like the black grills if the trim is black. If it's chrome, a silver would be nice.

Cool, we saved $900.

At gymnastics last night my daughter advised that she didn't want to join their competition team. She wants to go back to her old coach at the gym near us. I'm not sure what prompted the change but am sort of happy about it. Joining the team would be $900 which includes a team jersey and the 2x a week training sessions at 3 hours each.

We have never pushed her to do gymnastics because we want it to be a fun activity not stressful. The old gym is less than $100 for 6 weeks. :D

GH85Carrera 08-19-2016 05:17 AM

Here in the metro area we have the gym where Shannon Miller trained. As Bart Conner and his wife Nadia Comaneci's gym is in Norman. There are many other places that offer the Gymnastics training all over the city.

Bart Conner used to be in the local Porsche Club. He came to a few autocrosses long ago.
