Ya... I need a warm jacket that is a little trimmer fitting... I need something I can be active in in cold weather... I have a huge ski coat and several huge brownduck work coats....
|
I have this one, the ultimate pro jacket MAMMUT.
Don't know if they still make these, I've had it for more than five years already. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1288245596.jpg |
I have a nice fleece pullover for when it gets chilly here. Most everything else is to warm.
|
If I don't snag something off of SteapandCheap I will get a Marmot or Mountain Hardwear soon... I've had superb luck with both of those brands....
But I really think a Miura will be my next toy purchase.... Buy La Sportiva Men's Miura VS Shoe - La Sportiva at Moosejaw - Free Shipping on orders over $49 Or a pair of Miura's to be exact... ;) |
Dave some of us get this stuff called Wind... and occasionally it is accompanied by this cold stuff called snow.... Fleece doesn't handle that well...
|
That's why I wear this for the snow....
But red. |
Not gunna do you much good in the snow if you sell it on evilbay now is it?
|
Sigh....
|
Shutup... its late... I missed that last line of text.....
|
Night you ugly lot...
|
I sit awake at nights penning the new project now. I need to get a larger drafting table and CATIA workstation for home.
Hoosier R25B slicks, 11" front, 13" rear. Double A arm, pushrod actuated Penske dampers front and rear. 4130 space frame with bonded tub carbon fiber shear structures. Turbo Yamaha powered, 350 conservative HP. 700 pound dry weight. 3500 lbs of downforce at 160 mph. These are the rough specifications after a week of research and calculations to provided the means by which I need in order to achieve the performance I'm looking for. 2 lbs. per horsepower... last car I built was 4 pounds per horsepower. And I still needed more. We'll see how 2 feels. Chassis and suspension layout started tonight. Simulation starts this weekend. I may have some rough sketches to post by then as the entire chassis will be designed with the aero in mind. :) :) :) Cheers to my new $250,000 project. |
Morning guys.
|
Morning Rick, how the dog be doing?
What's its name? |
Fred.
|
Good morning guys.
Mike, will it really cost a 1/4 milllion? As you were describing it I was wondering what it would cost. Then you answered the question. Thats a lotta jack for a car. Would it be street legal? |
The last car I built, with similar technology, all total with labor costs for the engineering and machine time, mold construction, etc for a one-off prototype.. was estimated at $250,000. We had lots of sponsors to take up a lot of that.
The end result will be similar to something like this: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1288279374.jpg After the design work is done, I'll be in search of new sponsors. |
OK, so that is NOT a street legal car :)
It looks cool. Does that compete in any sectioned races? You have a fun job. At least that part is fun. I am sure the fabrication part is not as much fun. |
Ya slackers, I am bumping this from page 2
Good night! |
Evening guys.... Competed in my first climbing competition tonight... Won my class!
|
Easy to do when you're the only one in the class. :D
Congrats. |
