About the time processors started running hotter I switched to laptops. Was fine as long as I didn't use it on my actual lap. Too hot!

The problem I have now is the battery swelling and the case has to be replaced to replaced the battery.

G'day all

Finally got caught up. Been busy here with work and life. Granddaughter had her 6th birthday party yesterday and wore us all out.

Tomorrow I get on another plane - just a quick trip as I'll back home on Friday. Happy that I stay in the country this time.

I don't do cold at all. That's why I moved to AZ! Porsche work j usually do in the garage with the AC on, unless I'm playing with gas, then I get it outside.

I have a question?

If you were to get into a car in the hot part of the day. And the car was parked in a garage so the air inside the car was warm, but not suffocatingly hot. Would you try to crank the A/C temp down and the fan up before you even get out of the driveway?

Yep. I crank the AC to max as soon as the car starts on the Elky or the 911. The fan gets the air moving and max cool gets the compressor compressing. The Macan does all that automatically.

Guess that cayenne went and made me lazy. Just have the thermostat set and it does whatever it needs to do. If it's hot and you first start driving it waits until it is not going to blow hot air in your face before it turns on the fan and cranks it up. Then it turns the fan back down as the car cools inside.

Noticed the other day when Bob was with me. We got in the car, in the garage, and before we got the end of the driveway he is cranking the A/C temp down and the fan up and telling me my A/C is broken cause the fan doesn't work. About the time I finished telling him it is smart enough it doesn't come on until the compressor has the condenser cooled enough to keep from blowing hot air, it starts blowing cool air.

The tojo's 20 years old and never had the a/c turned off. Every part of the a/c is original equipment. I guess when the a/c dies, it's time to get a new tojo.

If I can remember...the 928 you just set the temp you want maintained and the mount of fan you want blowing all the time. It turns the cooling on and off, but doesn't automatically run the fan up and down.

What's this A/C you talk of?

We just got back from a 200+ mile ride bombing around the White Mts. of New Hampshire.
Some of the trees are starting to turn already.

That's what the 944 does too. Very early climate control.

Any pics, Pete? I'll miss fall if there's anything I miss from living back east.

Forgot the camera Jim. I'll shot some for you in the coming weeks.
Ellen and I are leading the fall PCA tour again this year. Not sure there will be any leaves left on the trees by Oct. 7th.
It's been a cool rainy summer.....never even got the A/C unit out of the cellar this year.

I do like the fall here but what comes next is ..........well........white.

My ancient 80s cars have no climate control except the driver. It was high 90s this last unofficial day of summer and the AC was in low fan and we were cool on our trip back from Enid.
I walked in and had to replace the furnace filter in the MILs house, then help hang the curtains, update the computer, and fix the damage to the mail box stone work from the mail truck that hit it.
