Hope everyone is havin a good weekend.
Just doin some dog trainin here. |
I stopped in at a nearby cars & coffee this morning. Lots of eye candy, and one guy wanting to buy my 964. Hey, if the money's right...
Plenty of honey-do's to work on while the wife is out of town. Ack. |
Found there is a reason those guys don't have the car they want. They aren't willing to spend what they are worth.
Feel like I was really lucky to bump into the 928 GTS when I did. 928 GTS prices were bottomed out. Did spent a bit more because of the color but it was still a good deal. What pushed me over the edge after trying to talk myself out of it for weeks was the model, 5 speed, and color combination would not be available again. There have been several red, black, gray, and silver 928 GTSs that have sold since, but not one blue one. Especially Iris Blue Metallic, there are only 3 that color and only one of those is a 5 speed. If the previous owner that offered to buy mine had gone up just $10K more he would be the owner. And the value as gone up to $27K above what I was asking then. And he was asking to buy a car that was not for sale, there has got to be some incentive to get the owner to let go of the car. The very bottom end of the market value is NOT it. |
I have had many dozens of people offer to buy my El Camino. They all want a to pay a couple of grand for it. I usually tell them I will entertain offers in the 20 grand or above. It ain't worth near that to anyone but me. I see zero reason to sell it. It does everything I want, and there is no real replacement for it now days. I don't want a pickup truck. I like having a car that is almost always the only one in any parking lot. Not yet another average vehicle.

Golly working on Sunday is fun!
The client has some cheap program he fond on the internet for free to work with the files we send him. Instead of buying a expensive professional program he is doing it cheap. We make the files in US feet, and a one foot resolution, since that is all he wants to pay for and can handle. Higher resolution would be 4 times bigger files for 6 inch resolution. Anyway I just spent a few few hours converting everything from on foot to 12 inches.:confused: That way his program reads it is right. Every ruler I have is shows a foot as 12 inches, but not his freeware. |
Used to get free yard sticks at the local lumber yard that had both feet and inches on them.
Later you had to get the free ones at the State Fair. |
Weeeeee.
Monday is back. Of course when ya work all weekend it is hard to tell the difference. I studied hard all night do my blood and urine test today. I hope I pass it! ;) |

Morning all. We had snow yesterday. Made the lawn white and the roads slushy but then the temperature dropped so it got really cold.

I got back from the lab work and started working. The doorbell rang and that is unusual but I went to see who was there. He was wearing a baseball cap and looking down so I could not see the face but it was the body shape of my neighbor so I opened the door. There stood a construction worked REEKING of cigarette smoke. He said he was Ralph and the partner of Gus, and I shook his hand as he was moving to come in. I firmly held his hand and I walked outside and closed the door behind me. He looked almost as puzzled as I was and I said "who is Gus?" and he said he was here to do the contract work. I said you have the wrong house. He looked more puzzled and he pointed at a pickup parked in front of my house that I don't know. He said you know, Gus! I repeated I don't know Gus. He asked the address and he was sure enough at the wrong house.
My neighbor across the street is having some work done on their in ground pool area. I suggested he try over there. As I went back inside I saw he was a damn litterbug and threw a stinking cigarette on the ground right next to my front door. Grumble grumble harrumph harrumph. Now I have to walk that cigarette to the back yard trash can all the way around the house. It sure ain't coming inside. |
I'd walk it over to his truck and put it in the back.

I don't think David meant the back of the truck.
|
you are correct. may tie it to a brick. Or better yet staple it to the neighbors door with a note about his contractor leaving stuff behind.
|
Just glancing at your reply came across as staple it to his behind.
|
I think that might be even better!
|
I think I learned how to read from Yoda.
