That might smash a few flowers in the flower beds and damage some of their cars. It is a several square mile area, so really had to water bomb it evenly.




A local photographer borrowed our airplane for a photo shoot. They just rolled it out of the hangar, and sot it on the ramp in front of our hangar. I blurred the N number only because once it goes on the internet, I have no idea where it will end up. Too easy to look up the airplane with the N number.

The Cessna is a dark burgundy in the front, and I don't know why he used purple light inside, but it was a class on photography and the students wanted to try things.

Normally it has wheel pants, and it looks even better. But the mechanic that did the annual just has not had a chance to put them back on.

The burgundy blends in making it look like the vertical stab/rudder is missing.

Just tell the water bomber to release higher to spread the water and allow it to diffuse before crashing into the cars and flowers. I am sure you will still make money on the deal.

So funny story...... I recently got a weed burner to take care of some weeds we had that weed spray wouldn’t kill and were too close to our new plants. Was working around the base of our freshly skinned palm tree and realized that those little fuzzies all over the trunk are realllllly flammable. Trying to put a fire out 5’ high on a palm tree with just your sandal is a trip! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 next time I’ll have the hose nearby....

On my trip to San Diego in 2007, as I came down the mountain towards Phoenix I saw smoke ahead. Shortly thereafter I saw a tanker 18 wheeler that had jackknifed and caught fire. A state trouper was blocking the interstate, and pointing me out into a west road into the middle of nowhere. My GPS rerouted me, and I found some fun mountain roads, and went through one little town setting up for the 4th of July. Then drove south into the big sandy areas of desert, into California farm fields, and finally onto the interstate for the big climb up the mountain into San Diego. Way better than the return trip through Phoenix.

I would go flagstaff to Sedona via 89A, then over to Prescott and out through skull valley, backtrack a bit up to Baghdad, then sprint down the hill to wickenburg.

Ha, we faked out the folks at the CIA or FBI or the space aliens that control the weather. The clouds are way up high, and fairly thin, so we snuvk in and flew the projects. Now maybe we can get them to make us some rain. The forecast is looking promising for rain. We will need more than .09 inches for sure.

I am watching the F1 practice and they showed a replay from last week’s race. Red Bull with Max Verstappen did a 1.88 second pit stop during the race. Wow, 4 tires in under 2 seconds.

Last Saturday I had a reaction to a neuropathy pain killer, gabapentin. Side effects were vertigo, double vision, and nausia. Did 911 ER trip when realized was vomiting blood. Spent a week in the hospital.

They treated me like was having a stroke though had no numbness or weakness. The blood was a tear in my esophagus. In all the tests they found a very small stroke. Smaller than the end of a pin. Would not cause the symptoms. The gabspentin takes a long time to build up so is taking a while to lose the side effects. Still a little dizzy but get around well enough with a walker they sent me home this evening. They are doing more outpatient testing and monitoring and sending me some in home help.

Good thing is that they found the beginnings of a stroke before it really became and issue and can be treated for it and prevent real damage. Interesting that they are not finding any plaque which is usually the cause.

Update on the 928
While laying around in the hospital made arrangements for fixin up and selling the 928. It needs bigger injectors and a narrowband O2 sensor hooked up to the ECU and tuned. Have ordered the parts. It runs, but to get it to run the narrowband is turned off and the injectors are maxing out at full throttle. Several knowledgeable 928 guys are telling me miles, unique desireable color, manual, and current market it should sell for more than $100K. Just wouldn't feel right selling it for that much with it needing injectors and proper tuning.

My nephew is more of a car enthusiast than I am, especially since he now owns several companies that manufacture classic car parts. He knows major contacts at all the big money car autions. He has been doing a few project cars and making top dollar on them. He has agreed to manage putting it in shape and getting top dollar for it. Says it makes a big difference who puts their name on prepping the car.

The race last week was way different and exciting for a change. Rain can do that.

This weekend’s F1 had rain for practice. Maybe the rain will return for the race to keep it from another Mercedes parade cruise.

I processed two projects last night. It is almost fun to have small projects that run in under an hour instead of weeks.

It is 80/80 here. Only 80 degrees, but 80% humidity at our house. I got the yard mowed and it was still wet from the morning dew at 4:00 Pm. Gack.

Beautiful day here. I've been working on my Z again in the garage. I found a bent suspension component (tension compression rod) used to control caster. Swell.

There are some blade looking parts on the rear suspension of the 928 that are part of the weissach rear steering that get bent sometimes and they effect camber as well.
Owners usually don't notice they are bent unless trying to get car setup to work when driving in anger and the track.
If those bits aren't bent it sure handles a LOT better, ie goes faster, around corners.

ha ha ha, must of needed caught up on my sleep from the hospital stay. Woke up on the throne leaning against the wall after two hours. Sure glad I replaced the seat with a padded one!
