Afternoon all. I just finished moving a wood twin platform bed out of a room and down the stairs. Twenty years ago getting it up there was not as bad.

Twenty years ago getting other things up was faster and easier as well.

So are you moving your bed into the office area so you can save time on your long commute?

I am finally getting some finished up around the house. New office for the wife was the biggest. Going to try to get the electric cooling fan and relay wired up tonight.

Well today is more honey do projects. One of the first is we "get" to go to the local big box store and buy some bigger tree rings for the trees that have outgrown the little rings they did have that keep the grass out from under the tree.

For my El Camino I had ordered a new cover for the torque converter and the parts lady at Eckler's assured me it would fit my car. It does not fit at all. I would have to do extensive modifications and cutting and then it would not be much of a cover.

So today I called the customer service department and I was on hold for 28 minutes before a human answered. He looked up the part, and said, your are right, that is not for your car. Only if it had a big block, and a Turbo 350 transmission. So a Small Block 350 and a 2004R is not quite the same. So he agreed to refund my money, and said it was not worth sending back, so I can just disposed of it.

Any of you need a torque converter or flex plate cover for a big block Chevy engine? I have one cheap, shipping cost only. I hate to send it to the land fill.

TGIF!

Not a big difference in days and I had to check the calendar to be sure it was Friday. I am working through the honey do list slowly. I did not want to rush through and let her know it is not an all day task to do some things.

All I have for the office update is to attach a couple L brackets and that part is done.

Need to program the fuel gauge in the Cobra tomorrow.

Phew, the shower has all new mix valve cartridge. I had to run to the large plumbing supply place to get it. Just as I was getting in the car I got a call from Vinnie of Pelican fame. He is traveling across country back home. He has a cool accent, and would fit right in on the set of the Sopranos. No one is ever surprised if they ask where he is from and he says New Jersey.

Anyway he was still an hour out, so I made my run and got the the place 5 minutes before we were set to meet. It is a place called Pub W, and they have some good on tap beers. He ate lunch as he had not eaten but I had already eaten lunch earlier. We chatted for a couple of hours, and I bought our beers, and he paid for his lunch.

Nice guy. He was headed east last I saw him.

I got home and put the shower back together, and turned the water back on. My wife is out with one of her girl friends going to nurseries looking at plants, not kids!

Hey y'all!!

My left side is mostly functional, I can only very slowly type again, (with a LOT of backspace corrections.)

Left hand still needs work on the fine motor control though. Kind of has a mind of it own

Feel good and am out of stroke rehab. And am back home.

The good news is... Sold the GTS!!!!

Still sad to see it go. Really liked that car.

Next door neighbot took care of Pepper while I was in rehab. Made me feel good for him to tell me he was surprised at how well trained she was. Didn't pull at all when he walked her and his nephew had a blast playing with her with all the tricks she knows. Pepper really likes the girl I've hired to help me recover.

The only really good thing about all this is looks like i will be getting some disability now. Took an hour to type this post.

Glad you are back home Richard. I was pulling for ya! I did not post about your stroke and it was not my place to reveal medical information about others.

Your 928 was a beauty, and I hope the new owner gets to enjoy it as much as you did. I hope it went to a good loving home.

It was a fun event at the dealership. Can't beat free coffee and donuts. We had several long time members show up. It was great to see them again.

Stijn!!

Wow, I am really enjoying the 25 hours of coverage of the 24 hours of Le Mans. I can fast forward through a safety car or interviews of some driver or car owner I don’t care about.

Porsche has the new 911RSR and they are penalized with a weight and air restrictor that really limits the HP. The other cars can just pull away coming out of a corner and onto a straight. Unless it rains all night they will not have a happy finish.

Le Mans was not a good race for Porsche. Toyota got their third overall win, but with no real top level competition all they had to do was not break. This is the last year for that type of vehicle. Next year is a "Hypercar" class and as yet only Toyota has said they will be back. Likely with a race version of a LSX.

They broadcast all 24 hours. Well sorta, they would break for commercials mid sentence and return with no explanation of anything that happened during the commercials. I was recording it all, so I just fast forwarded through them.

Moring all. The grandkid showed up last Thursday at 1:11am so we have been enjoying his company and attempting to nap when he does.

You mean ya just put them in the garage if they get noisy at nap time?

A small shot of whisky makes them sleep real good.

Gosh, some nice Russians sent me a Microsoft Word document that has suggestion on making the company web page look better. Isn't that nice. They sure would never embed some nasty virus or worm in there, I am sure it all just because of the warm trusting relationship Americans have with Russian internet slime bag low life POS hackers.
