The stereo I have in the 911 now works OK, it just does not look right and is like putting 20 inch wheels on my El Camino, it just looks wrong. The Blaupunkt looks like it came from the factory with it in place. But it plays a digital files and has Bluetooth and the new bells and whistles. |
That i cool. I don't even know if the radio in my 911 works. I enjoy the motor noise more. |
Local drives are OK with no radio, but long road trips require tunes. I have a USB drive with all 120 of my CDs ripped to it. Put it on random and let it play. My current radio will connect to Bluetooth and play Pandora, but I almost never do. The new one of course has all the modern stuff. It does NOT play CD or DVDs, just digital input or radio. We received another 1.5 inches of rain last night. Currently 72 degrees and last night taking the trash cans to the curb it was downright pleasant. |

morning all. It got to 106 yesterday. Now its 65, only supposed to get to the low 90's today. |
Wow, 106 and so many people have no AC at all. BTDT as a kid, I never want to do it again. In 2009 when we spent a week in Keystone, CO I failed to ask the hotel we booked if they had AC. Only their restaurant was air conditioned. They had a series of fans that would suck air from outside, into the room, and around and back out. It sounded like a wind machine and it was hard to sleep with all that racket but it kept us sorta cool. I do not understand the hotels that just don't install AC and I will not stay in one that does not have AC again. |

morning all. much cooler yesterday and we are hoping today as well. |

I saw that Portland hit 116 degrees. That is Phoenix hot. Oklahoma City has NEVER been that hot. We "only" got 1.15 inches of rain yesterday. More expected. We finally are supposed to get three days of dry weather. I will need to rent a combine to harvest the grass crop. After all this rain it is growing like mad and the yard is soggy wet. |
We have only had half an inch of rain the last few weeks. At least it cooled off some and isn't blazing hot. |
We are up to 12.66 inches of rain total for June alone. 25.6 for the year. |
currently have the windows open and a cool breeze blowing thru. Nice change. One late night show declared Portland to be medium rare at 116. |

I was curious about the lowest humidity in the world. It was in Iran, 116°F With a 0.36% humidity. They said if you cried about the temp, the tears would evaporate before it got to your lips. Likely some hyperbole. Oman had the highest ever "low overnight temp of 111. Imagine the coolest part of the day just before dawn, and it is 111. Ouch. In 1936 and 2012 we hit 113 and that is the all time record. Hopefully we never break it. |

after 106 and currently at 72 it feels cold out. Not that I plan to give up the shorts yet. |

116 with 10% humidity is wild. You know you should be sweating but you really aren’t. I think that makes it even more dangerous, you just slowly cook. It’s like being in a sous vide cooker set to blue rare. 🤣 |

I prefer to not stew in my own juices. |
ahhhhh its 64 and not supposed to hit 80 at all today. |
We are at 74 degrees and just got a third of an inch of rain so humidity is back up to stupid levels. |
84% humidity here. Its cool but muggy out. |
Ha, 84% would be great. We are at 96% right now. With the wet ground and the sun back out it is a tad muggy. |
yuck. Pack the car and head for parade. |
It is humid here in the upper midwest also. |
