LOL that is funny. The only thing worse would be to shoot their own plane down.

Anytime Jacob is in the C model everyone tends to gang up on him. He just laughs as he can reach out so much farther than everyone else save for a 109 or something with a similar cannon, but his rate of fire is much higher compared to those and the amount of power in a Corsair is a huge advantage.

When Jacob peeled off of Em she popped up high to watch the events unfold. She is an ambush fighter in the Corsair. Swoops in slashing and climbs back out to do it again so as soon as Jacob was hit I climbed out instantly to avoid her knowing she was up there somewhere.

In a furball like that everyone gets lucky, even new guys so it doesn't get too frustrating. Em got shot down once because she was chasing someone else and flew between Jacob and I and took the bullets for me. With a 8-12 people all 1vE it is hard to keep track of everyone in a small space like a gunfight. Missile fights are completely different. Though with noobs we do guns only with modern jets. That can be hilarious too!

Morning all. Sounds like fun. I used to have Falcon 4.0 I think it was. Hard to learn to use but fun to just play with.

flipper35 02-07-2025 08:24 AM

Falcon was a good one. DCS is the new hotness for ultra-realistic now.

Porsche-poor 02-07-2025 03:14 PM

My home computer would probably not even come close to running it.

I was allowed to drive Mrs. Carrera back to Enid, for more fun. Stop at one attorney's office, then to her mother's house. Her mom was playing cards with some friends, and fell. She cracked her fibula. When her friends saw her fall, they called 911 and she was taken to the hospital. That cancels Hospice care until she gets he doctor's OK to resume hospice care. So we had to find a 24 hour per day home care company. Two different companies came over for an interview, but they don't have the staff to be there 24/7. We threw a Hail Mary for a final company based out of southern Kansas that the Hospice people kinda sorta back handed said were good folks. Hospice can't directly recommend any company. Anyway the third and final possibility showed up, and two ladies showed up. One of them started on the spot, so the MIL is taken care of for the next 7 days. Then a different lady takes over for 7 days. The family can get back to regular life duties, and just go visit whenever they want.

Then we went to the bank the MIL uses to get my wife on the signature cards with her durable power of attorney. Next is filing all the paperwork, and getting all the phone numbers and addresses straightened out.

The MIL is happy, and my wife and her brother are happy. And I am happy.

Morning all. A nice wet Saturday. Lucky for me its model building and reading all day. Yes I am that lazy!

GH85Carrera 02-08-2025 11:14 AM

We had a good PCA region lunch at the original Toby Keith's "I love this bar and grill" restaurant. Great food, and great conversation.

GH85Carrera 02-10-2025 05:17 AM

My wife pouts if I don't at least watch the Super Bowl with her. In years past the ads made watching the Super Bore worthwhile. The ads mostly just sucked. And the game was kinda boring as well.

GH85Carrera 02-11-2025 07:40 AM

Arggghhh. My fan is still not coming out right with the Cerecoat. They have shot it three times. The owner of the company is going to call the company that makes it, and see if they have ideas. So no fan yet. I really want to get the 91 off the lift, and back in the other bay so I can park the Elky in the larger bay. I guess I will just keep waiting and hopefully get a perfect looking fan.

Porsche-poor 02-13-2025 07:16 AM

Morning all. Sorry I have been away just to tired. Yesterday was round 2. The doc held back oneo fhte chemo mix's since I tolerated it fine they want to hold that till the you know what hits the fan. Now we wait till Monday again.

I think I also got the side effect of being really sensitive to cold I got some cold water and splashed it on my hands and it feels like needles.

GH85Carrera 02-13-2025 08:05 AM

That does not sound like fun. Keep fighting and get better!

We had some thunder sleet, then freezing rain. Not much, but it messed up the commute for the people that commute. Today the sun is out, and the streets clear, but cold out there. So I will stay inside until it warms us some.

flipper35 02-13-2025 10:30 AM

We just had about 7 inches of fluffy snow. Better than wet snow. The boy did the concrete part with the electric snow blower. Gravel part is a bit deep in places.

David, that sucks about the cold water.

We are due for 4 days of crappy weather, starting tomorrow. Down to single digit temps, and crap falling from the skies.

My wife is stressed out on filing all the paperwork for her Power of Attorney, and the insurance and payment documentation for her mother. Some can be sent electronically as a PDF. Those were easy with my printer-scanner-copier. It has a fax built in as well, be we don't have a land line anymore, so no fax. Some of the documents have to be submitted via fax, so we have to time travel back to the 1980s. It is possible President Lincoln received a fax, and we are still using them for some legal documents.

One of my wife's nephews is married to a CPA, and she has a way to send a fax from her email. So I scanned those documents and saved as a PDF, then email them to he so she can file those.

It is almost comical. My wife downloaded some documents she then printed them out so she could sign them. I had to scan them, send them to her nephew to print out, and get my MIL to sign, then he took those home, scanned them, and sent them to my wife, then she sent them to me to print so she would have an analog copy. Then I sent them my wife's nephew's wife for her to scan them.

The amazing part is how good the documents look after all that.

Geezer voice, why back in the 80s, they would look like crap, now with the magic of digital files and higher quality scans and laser printers they look fine.

Porsche-poor 02-18-2025 07:45 AM

Morning all. Round 2 complete. Now in recovery mode. Sorry I have been away so much but I'm tired most of the time and don't want to login, lazy I know.

Porsche-poor 02-19-2025 06:18 AM

Morning all. Yesterday was a much better day. Hoping today goes just as well. Got some models to build. They are called book nooks and are little scenes for book shelves.

GH85Carrera 02-19-2025 07:31 AM

Glad you are feeling better.

We had a little glaze of ice, then .25 inches of sleet, then an inch of snow. Kinda slick out there. We did not go anywhere, and my only time outside was to get the mail.

It was 2 degrees this morning. The sun is obscured by clouds, so not much melting going on. It is up to 8 now but the wind chill is -12. Sunday it will be 61 and sunny.

The trash was not picked up yesterday, so somehow I "get" to try to push them up the 6 foot elevation up hill of my driveway, and they will get the trash on Saturday. That seems pointless as they will be back next Tuesday. Not my call.

We can hope!

Porsche-poor 02-19-2025 07:40 AM

Been about normal here. Low to mid 40's.

Yeah this round I only had one bad day. I think its cause they held back one drug to use at a later date when it needs to hit the fan.

GH85Carrera 02-20-2025 05:17 AM

The sun is actually out, and supposed to be out all week. It was 4 this morning. A new record. The weather gets out of the freezer on Saturday.

GH85Carrera 02-20-2025 11:59 AM

Wow, it is up to 25 and full sun. The snow is going away fast. YEAH.
