Morning all. ITs been a struggle this week. Didn't bounce back as much. I have been really week and mostly just sitting on the couch. Hope things pick up before next Wednesday when we do yest another round of fun with chemicals.

I'd say the thing I miss most about all this is driving. Its a rare treat to get to back a car out of the garage now.

GH85Carrera 06-13-2025 05:56 AM

That really sucks David.

I will post some photos of Parade as I can. It is hard to believe is is so close to happening.

GH85Carrera 06-13-2025 05:59 AM

Cute puppies Brent. Of course puppies are all cute. You must make a good nest!

astrochex 06-14-2025 04:07 AM

Sorry to hear that David. You can only take it one day at a time. Prayers for you man.

Porsche-poor 06-16-2025 08:19 AM

Morning all. Finally catching up to normal and round 10 starts in 2 days. I;ll be asking to doc if this os going to be the new norm from here on out.

flipper35 06-16-2025 08:27 AM

Hope they find the right cocktail to make it not so bad!

Porsche-poor 06-16-2025 08:27 AM

me to cause I need a nap.

GH85Carrera 06-16-2025 08:48 AM

We have had a lot more rain. Over 6.5 inches this month alone. That is way more than the average for the entire month. We might go 48 hours with no rain, so I might "get" to mow tomorrow. The yard is soggy and squishy right now, but the sun is out and it is supposed to get into the high 80s.

Porsche-poor 06-20-2025 02:43 AM

morning all. In the middle round 10. Up at 3am doing the groceries order for next week. Probably tells you how well I am sleeping right now. Oh well I sense a nap in my future.

GH85Carrera 06-20-2025 04:42 AM

Naps are always in my plan. Well, not much this weekend.

My cousin, that was one year older than I am died a few days ago. I am driving the 911 to Longmont, CO Saturday for the celebration of life, and to meet some of the other cousin's kids. Like so many extended families the kids get jobs in different parts of the country, and the family just has a tough time getting together.

I will turn 200,000 miles on the 911 on that trip.

Porsche-poor 06-26-2025 05:06 AM

Morning all. Round 10 complete. Most exhausting so far. If I quit moving yesterday I fell asleep. Today seems back to normal, up at 4am wide awake. A nap will be needed.

Next week they shift everything by a day because of the 4th on Friday. The week after that we are taking a short trip to the coast to fly some kites.

GH85Carrera 06-26-2025 05:39 AM

Paul, just keep fighting! We need you around.

I did turn over 200,000 miles as expected. It was a 1,500 mile total round trip. 10 hours each way. The 911 sure is a great highway car. On the way home, the car was plastered in bugs. Then just south of Wichita, KS there were a few hard rain showers. That power washed a lot of the bugs off.

I had to wash it the next day, and then I got to mow.

Porsche-poor 07-01-2025 04:24 AM

Morning all. In a few hours I will take on round 11. This last week has been a rough one. Just about every other day was spent asleep. Looking forward to next week and going to the beach with the family. Even if I just have to stay in the house and read books its not the same 4 walls as home. Daughter-in-law has never flown a kite. Well I plan to fix that. I have tossed in a few deltas and a few stunt kites. I also have a huge pile of character kites she can pick from. This assuming I can walk as far ar the wet sand and set her up.

GH85Carrera 07-01-2025 05:43 AM

Have some fun at the beach with the family.

I had perfect mowing weather yesterday. A thunderstorm went about a mile north of us. So it was all overcast, and a nice cool breeze from the thunderstorm, but not a drop of rain on us.

We don't need anymore rain right now but it looks like we will get more this week.

Billiam 911 2.8 07-01-2025 02:36 PM

A change of scenery with those you love will be good for you. Flying kites and the ocean will add some fond memories. All the best.

Bill

Morning all. Looks like the first day was the worst so far. I don't remember if I talked about the CA19-9 blood test for pan cancer but normal is 37. Mine spiked at 900k in December and rose to over 3M a few months ago. Well that just did it again last week and it down to 1.1M. Down is good means the poison soupe is working just slowly. I guess they keep pouring this stuff on the fire till the numbers start back up then they try something else.

GH85Carrera 07-03-2025 04:35 AM

Keep those number down!

Tomorrow Porsche Porsche Parade starts for me. I will have a blast helping stuff the goodie bags, and I have one large bog of shirts, and the autocross timing equipment to haul to the Omni hotel. It will have to go in the El Camino, as the 911 does not have the room to haul it all. The city is presenting a Red White and Boom fireworks display at the park across the street from the hotel. The area will be a traffic mess for hours before sunset. I plan to be out of the area before that.

On Monday, at the concours, my 911 is part of the historic display of the various models of Porsche. My local friend has THE oldest Porsche sold new in North America. It is a 1952 pre A cabriolet, and it is pretty much perfect. He is looking forward to the 356 geeks to point out anything that is not "right" as the way the car was delivered. He has a two volume history of the car from the day it was delivered, to the 8 years it was used as a race car, and every owner that ever had it.

Porsche-poor 07-04-2025 03:10 AM

Morning all the pump is removed so now no leash and bag to drag around. I have to make it through the next few days of being tired so I can help pack for the coast. I plan to walk to the water no matter what and fly a few kites even if I only get half way to the water to fly them. Where we are going allows one to drive out on the beach to park so I'll get a head start.

GH85Carrera 07-04-2025 04:17 AM

Have fun at the beach.

And Happy 4th of July!

Porsche-poor 07-04-2025 08:09 AM

Happy 4th to you as well.
