Sounds like you need a pair of bigger nuts.

My inner knuckle dragging self laughed. The mechanical designer did not and immediately thought they don't come bigger for that thread size.

They ran out of badge lock nuts (those split aluminum ones which are bigger cause the include a bit of a washer) and put in regular nuts, now too small.

Just a guess.

When my Dad just threatened he would take my keys, I threw them on the table and walked off. He brought them to me almost immediately and didn't say a word. Figured that punishment became a non-option.

That reminds me...for Christmas my brother did a slide show for his grandkids that was his auto biography. Interestingly different from what I remember happening.

Yea, I hate that, when your nuts slip through the slot.
A pair of larger washers are in your future.

I had a job from the time I was a Junior in High School. I had to drive to work right after school and on Saturdays and to go shoot jobs on Sunday's on occasion. My parents never once tried to take away my driving privileges and it was my car I paid for.

How is the hangover Jeff?

Good Tuesday morning. I decree NO more Mondays for this year! It shall be done!

The ice is mostly gone from the roads. Just the low traffic bridges are ice covered. Some parts of the metro 25 miles east of this part of town had over 3/4 of on inch of ice. Imagine every outdoor object above ground level encapsulated by 3/4 of an inch on all sides. Then throw in 45 to 60 MPH winds. Many large power poles and trees were toppled.

They interviewed a guy on TV last night that went for a week last month with no electricity and now they are telling him it might be two weeks before they get him back on. I would have a generator for sure if I lived there.

I just heard from the wheel shop. My wheels are painted and I can bring my tires to them for mounting. That is convenient since the wheel shop is a mile from my dentists office. So drop off wheels, go see the dentist. With luck I can get my tires and wheels after the dentist appointment.
