The white fluffy crap never did get here except for a light amount. Plenty of sleet and ice and wind. It is supposed to quit falling pretty soon and we will have clear but cold weather. The freezing rain coated a lot of power lines and the wind is blowing so a lot of folks have lost power. The roads locally are not that bad. Just mostly the bridges are icy.

Took my trash out this morning. Had to break the ice off the lid on the bin to open it.

Took and extra 2 minutes to get a hammer, bash the ice, then put the hammer away.

This wintery weather thing is rally cramping my style.

At least no more limbs have fallen...YET

Rain, ice, sleet, and snow are forecast for us today and tomorrow.

We are taking the Honda in to get a remote start installed. I bought it for my wife for Christmas. Even though I COULD install it, I chose to have it done by a competent shop. I hate wiring.

Did Jeff make it home yet?

We have a glass doors and a foyer at the office if front of the big steel door. The foyer just helps keep the wind out and we can leave the solid steel door open so people can tell we are open. There are no windows in the steel door, just a big solid door.

I put a paper sign on the inside of the outer glass door to tell customers or the delivery people we were closed on Friday. I had to use a razor blade to scrape that sign off the glass door. It was laminated on with ice on the inside of the foyer.

We went up to Enid for Christmas and I drove the 911. My wife's grand nephew is 16 now. He is one of the kids that gives me hope for the future of America.

The kid is smart. He taking several college courses and he is just senior in HS. He has a job at Chic Fillet and he bought a pickup truck with just one payment with his own money. His dad is pretty strict and even slight violations and he loses driving privileges. He wants to work as many hours as possible to make more money. He likes to work the early morning breakfast shift and he has to be there at 5:45 on a Saturday morning.

His dad was going to pull his keys for some infraction but relented when he realized he (the dad) would have to drive the kid to work at 5:30 AM to be there on time on a Saturday morning. He decided sleeping in was more important than pulling the keys for some minor infraction. The kid ain't no dummy and he is a good kid.

anyone here have one of the pelican parts hood badges? got one for xmas don't see how its going to work. Studs in badge, what I assume is the back plate on nuts to follow and if the nuts are not in just the right place the back plate falls off.

It's a grill badge. Post pics, it should have a giant washer that will keep the nut from pulling through. The washer should catch two slats in the grill.

Most grill badges have a wide bar with two holes that acts like a washer. The nuts hold the bar tight against the grill.

I'll get some pictures tonight. The thing comes with a narrow rectangular bar but the slots in the bar are such that the nuts can slip thru.

Yep, bar is wrong part from what I can tell. Looks like it needs washers.

I just called them and this is the full meal deal so I guess I get some washers and fix it myself.

I bought one of those when they were first offered. They must have changed the mounting design since then.

Wifey's van is done and we made it back home safely in the crap. Saw a new Camaro unsuccessfully try to accelerate merging onto the highway. I don't think the gal driving knew what to do. She eventually just pulled off to the side.

Evening Y'all.
Back when I was in highschool my dad was going to yank my car keys for some dumb crap I did as per our agreement but when I gave him my schedule he decided I would get extra yard work.
Full time student
football practice and games
25-30 hours a week at work.
Yeah he wasn't about all that extra work for him
