Phew. Just mowed and edged the yard. Fun fun fun.
Next is try to resurrect an OLD gas powered hedge trimmer. It has not run in 10 years. Might be a challenge.

Ever try to plow 8 inches of really wet snow off of thawed out dirt roads?
Not fun at all.

I'd rather wash a Macan.......oh wait......I don't have one.

Needs to warsh the pig. Also like to get a good water extractor and make them pig guts look clean as a whistle too.

I bought a pressure washer and washed down the deck of the boat today. I'd rather do this 100 times than plow snow once per Pete's description.

I have to replace the master cylinder on the Benz tomorrow, then change the oil and top up the transmission fluid on the Rover...probably throw some dead pig on the little green egg for a few hours as well.

The old gas powered hedge trimmer will need a carb rebuild kit. I managed to get it to start but the carb was leaking a lot. Also the gas cap does not fit. It is a replacement from another engine. It leaks worse than the carb. The price was right on the thing, free.

Almost sounds like my old Troy-built roto-tiller. Carb float don't float no more causing the carb to leak. The leak is only a drip and doesn't effect it running well. But since the tank is above the carb it leaks enough to siphon the half gallon tank dry over night. Put a petcock in the fuel line between the carb and tank. When not running close the petcock and not only does it not siphon off the whole tank, the carb even keeps gas in it. Just have to remember to open the petcock for the engine to run.

Note: A Petcock is a small shut-off valve used to control the flow of liquid or gas. The use of the term petcock is in no way intended as sexual or racial. I sincerely apologize if you were offend.

Plenty of fuel for your sail boat here at the moment (just no water to put the bugger in). It made golfing rather interesting this weekend.

Ship some of that wind up here, Jeff! We started out with a nice breeze, but it wasn't as good as the afternoon wore on. When it becomes choppy out there (more waves than wind), my wife gets uncomfortable. Thankfully, no praying to Ralf. My wife spotted a whale in the distance, and we both saw a half dozen or so dolphins near our boat. A couple of sea lions, too. Arrr, a sailor's life for me!

Are there more sailing days in California or Florida. Have a friend in Florida that he and his wife are avid sailors. Though think his wife captains a lot more than he does by his descriptions.

Since we lived and sailed in both areas, I think I'll be able to answer you. I think we have more fog here in CA, and FL has more rain. FL has more storms and lightning, not good to be out there with a 30-something foot aluminum lightning rod a few feet away from you. Tornados and hurricanes are kind of a bummer in FL, too. Both areas have days where there's not a lot of wind, or there's way too much! Some of the water around FL is pretty shallow (e.g., intercoastal waterway), unless you're out on the Atlantic. Here, we were in 500+ feet of water when we were a mile or two offshore. Overall, I'd say it's a draw between the two areas. The lower humidity makes this area a bit more pleasant to sail in, and we have migrating whales here, to add to the view.

When into flying radio controlled model airplanes always heard there were a lot more flying days in Florida.

While visiting Atlanta checked out a local R/C flying field. Was surprised when the wind got up to 8mph, they all packed up and went home. You sure wouldn't do much R/C flying in OKC if you flew only when wind was less than 8mph.

Good morning all. Monday strikes again.

We received 7/8th on an inch of rain over the weekend.

Today is the day to finish registering for Parade. My wife has decided she did not want to do any of the organized tours. They do have several wine tours and neither of us give a hoot about wine. I have never in my life tasted a wine and thought yum that is good.

We will just do our our self guided tours. They have several of those that look interesting. The Grad Coulee dam, old silver mines, and a route around NW Washington.

Hey all!

I was made a moderator on a FB drum page and it's like having a frkkin' job. We have over 15,000 members and the d-bags come out in force at times.

I have a new respect for the guys that watch over Pelican although this crowd is pretty tame compared to some of the idiots I've dealt with so far.

If you never stayed there some other guest gave them your number by mistake or to hide their own identity. I guess it is a little far to go for a discount happy hour.

Had been getting calls on my cell phone of a recording to loan my business money and to press 1 to talk to a representative or 2 to be put on their "do not call" list. Pressing 2 seemed to increase the frequency of the calls. So was just hanging up. Was receiving these calls about 3 times a week.

Two weeks ago started pressing 1 to talk to the loan sales person. Introduced my self and passed the time of day, weather etc. Was asked if I was the owner of the business. Said, "No, I just wanted to waste your time like you waste mine by calling all the time," in a cordial tone. The person got angry sounding and asked if I felt better now. Told them I did but would feel a lot better if they just stopped calling me.

Haven't received any calls offering to loan my business money in over a week.
