guess i'll have a nice commute home tonight
This is about 3 blocks from my current apt. I was planning to pick up my son from camp at UCLA but that is a non-starter given this. Luckily he is sailing at Marina del Rey, a few blocks from my office. I'll pick him up early and he'll have to suck it up in my office while I have a meeting:

Now that we've established how many Pelicans it takes to change a light bulb, we can address the question of how many officers, helicopters, and bomb squad robots it takes to contain an unarmed man in a Volkswagen Beetle.
Seriously...is he even armed? He's clearly crazy, and care should be taken. But damn... sometimes I wonder if this sort of response is used to justify the budget. Did they really need TWO LAPD copters to tail a bright red beetle?
