That 2002 is close, but not so big on the fake Turbo look.

I'd like an all stock looking '73 2002 sunroof, with an E30 M3 engine and 5 speed, rear disc brakes, slightly lowered with Bilsteins, 14 inch BBS wheels.

Or a '73 BMW Bavaria with a 3.5 liter BMW 6, and 5 speed.

Is an LSx e34 realistic? Are there kits for this?

I would just pick up something like this, put some money in a decent alarm system, and put anything left over into a "DD maintenance account"...

These are two excellent ideas. I run across that type of modded Suby occasionally. I'm not sure the 6 in an S2 is feasible. Well, then again, as the above Z shows, if you have enough money, you can do anything.

Thanks, but it's not in the realm of financial possibility... I just posted it in response to the OP.

[QUOTE]

Just saw one of these on the road two days ago. Very nice looking car.

I'm not a BMW guy, so I don't know if they're a POS or not, but the 633 CSi's look nice - how are those? That (looks wise) would be appealing, to me, w/ a more modern engine. I've seen a few locally selling for a few grand.

I'd find a nice 951 and then have a shopping spree on Lindsey Racing's website.

Not sure about the E34, but I have seen a few reports of LS1 E30s.

A friend is building one of those:

Why does the damn forum keep posting for me when I hit ctrl-v to paste? It is pretty damn irritating.

In Oz that's easy. I'd buy one these. FPV Falcon. Turbo 4.0ltr Six. Factory 270kw, 550Nm. With a few mods like the one below, they pull 390RWKW and over 600Nm. Factory standard with all the luxuries and Brembos to boot. With the 6 speed auto these make excellent daily drivers, with room for the whole family.

For a daily driver? I'd throw out the E46 M3, E39 M5, 996, and an NSX. All would be fun, reliable cars that would be easy to drive to work. The E55 is another good suggestion.

Some of the projects posted are super cool, but probably not the best DDs. Having to tweak the fuel maps on your standalone EFI to start your car on a cold morning could get a bit old.
