Drink Pickle Brine?
I've been eating a lot of kosher dill spears recently and always thought throwing away the brine was wasteful, so I tried a small glass. Could be just me, but it was tasty and refreshing and have been drinking more and more. The seeds are a nice treat.

I had an ex-girlfriend that used to do that. I wouldn't want to be lumped in the same group as that retard if I was you!
![]() Another good use is pickling hard boiled eggs!

In the concession stand we used to freeze pickle juice and sell it. 25cents for one of those little plastic condiment cups.

Tim, that looks outstanding! add a touch to a bloody mary? But I see that and immediately think to mix a little with some mayo as a dipping sauce for honey-ginger candied shrimp.

Love pickle juice. Right now I am trying something new which is popular in the South--Kool Aid Pickles.
empty pickles/brine, fill jar 1/2 with water, add kool aid and sugar, mix, put pickles and brine back in jar--let sit for 2 weeks can't wait

Pickle juice no, sauerkraut sauce yes. I cut up keilbasa in a pot with sauerkraut, get everything thoroughly warm. When I'm done eating the solids, I drink the juice. So yummy. It does however have a side effect. Within 30 minutes, sometimes half of that, I'm clean as a whistle inside. It's really pretty amazing.

A long ago girlfriend once told me pickle brine was good for easing menstrual cramps. Keep it up Shaun, you'll feel better in no time!

I used to help my friend in his snowball stand long ago. we give away free snowballs to anyone if they didn't ask what flavor and tasted it at the window so we could watch. surprisingly... not too many kids finished their dill pickle juice snowballs

Down in the south on the football field it is very common to see a big jar of pickles by the trainers. Somehow, the salty brine eases the cramps of the runners. Don't ask me how though.

You're almost there, my friend. Take yourself a whole Habanero pepper and cut her up in the kraut and 'basa. Cook until done. Let it sit for about 4-hours for all that capsium (sp?) to leech out of the pepper. Warm it back up. Then, eat as much as you like. ![]() Oh, your iinsides will be cleaner than any whistle you ever saw! ![]() |
