here are 3 more...sometimes I do miss this car. It was a blast to drive. I had a 2.0 in it with dual webers.

Those 'stripes' just destroy the lines of the car. Incredible how bad they are.

The Chalon seems more awkward in white, is better in darker colors.

I think the Chalon looks better than the stock 914.

The factory rear wheel openings and the front fender parking light 'butresses' are just terrible elements.

A black targa bar and top (like racerbvd's - maybe his is a 'vert) also helps the lines.

Some are really not bad, kmhemi's looks good... well, the rear spoiler sort of spoils it... ha

I'd like one, just like kmhemi's without the wing. They are neat looking, like a tiny 930.

A 930 powerplant would be a good addition now that I think about it...

Look very closely at the targa bar on my old one

I'd like to investigate taking Byron's approach, chopped, with a Chalon kit, and a 911 Cab convertible top fitted.

Better to be wary of rust...

I think they look as good or better than a regular 914. As stated, the color and stripes of the one in the 1st post are what ruin it.

I have a Chalon kit that I took off of a parts car, if anyone is interested. It's located in Southern Maine.

Front fenders, rear Qts., front & rear bumpers and rockers.

Someone buy Fud's kit and get busy....Any idea what kind of price you are asking for your kit? I wanted to put a set of Fuchs on my Chalon but sold it before I got a set. That would look good if you could get deep ones to fill up the fender flares.

The aftermarket produced chassis sheet metal reinforcement pieces for good reason. The chassis metal, afaik, is thin and as well all know, susceptible to corrosion.
