Computer issue got me stumped
My main computer has been working pretty well up untill very recently. I moved it into the bedroom, and was immediately forced to udpate Winblows Live Messenger, which I did. Then XP wanted to auto-update itself. Which it did.
Since the Live Messenger update, I can no longer log into the messenger service. Soem websites I can no longer access on this computer, but can on another computer no problem. And Messenger works on it, too. The Messenger's Status says "You are currently NOT connected to the .NET messenger service" Yet the troubleshooter seems to go through it's steps OK. Any ideas here? Everything still works on the other computer...

Log into Windows Live Messenger and you can Instant message from that program. I don't think they want you to message from messenger anymore.

Ya can try this:
1. Hit "run" in the start menu 2. Type "regedit" 3. Open "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger" 4. Delete the folder called MSN Messenger 5. After this MSN Messenger Live will login as normal. Reboot after.
