You obviously don't live in an urban area. Sometimes it's unavoidable.
Hopefully she gets a new car out of the deal. Sounds like it was a mistake (bus driver supposedly hit the gas instead of the brake). Best thing is nobody got hurt or killed. If there had been people in that bus shelter, they'd have been dead meat.

If there had been people in the Bus shelter, the Boxster probably saved them. She deserved the parking ticket - fair is fair.
