I love jet noise.

These guys keep flying over my house. I guess it is an airshow weekend!! This year the slot pilot flies directly over my house at very near mach, and about 500 feet agl. these guys are higher though.

Sweet!

One of the coolest things I've seen is seeing them taking off at dawn and practicing out by El Centro when I was flying down that way. Those guys are top-rate. Amazing pilots.

I miss when I used to live on a USAF base in Japan, or around a bunch of USN Air Bases in P-cola. I loved watching/hearing the planes.

Now I live near a very small base (NASA uses it), but very few of the planes fly near my house. I see mostly little trainers (what are they, T5, T38, something like that). Occassionally I'll see something more interesting. There is a Guppy that seems to frequent the area. I've seen it a lot on the ground, and once just after take-off. Crazy thing looks like it shouldn't fly.

Yea Steve I see the t-38's almost daily. I am sure they are most likely piloted by the astronauts. The guppy is always a treat to see. It ferries satellites to and from Kennedy.

Awesome. I'm a sucker for a good airshow.

Just stay far enough away at the air show.
