It's got a freakin' laser on it's head!
Can a pocket pistol get any cooler than this?
![]() Kel-Tec P32 with integrated pressure activated Crimson Trace laser sight. In my own tests this laser has an outside bright day light visibility of over 50 feet. Weight fully loaded with 11 rds of Hard cast flatnose 75gr .32ACP+P high velocity cartridges is less than a single pound. The Buffalo bore 75gr FN lead loading penetrates 15+ inches of ballistic gelatin. ![]() Pistol with extended grip magazine inserted. This increases capacity from 7+1 to 10+1 and offers a full and proper grip. The Kel-Tec actually has a nice smooth DA trigger pull. This tiny little pistol is ridiculously accurate at 7 yards, printing 1" groups directly onto point of aim. And it's got a freakin' laser on it's head! Cool.
Looks better without the extended grip though.

It shoots better and holds more bullets with it though.

Independent .32acp ballistics/gelatin tests. The top 3 non-frangible loads appear to be: Buffalo Bore 75gr Flat nose Geco 73gr FMJ Cor-Bon 60gr JHP. If i was going to use a frangible the Glaser seems to make the most sense. It's closest in weight to a standard bullet, and according to the above link they all at least partially fragment. I would only use that round for summer time use though- when your target would have just a thin t-shirt on. Last edited by m21sniper; 09-28-2009 at 11:31 AM.. |

Agreed. And it's more concealable.
And if you really NEED the extra bullets, then the laser sight obviously ain't doing its job, is it?

15" of ballistic gelatin penetration should equate to full through and through torso or skull penetration. While the expansion will be minimal (i'm not really sure how much effect the flat point bullet will have), the buffalo bore hard cast lead 75gr flat point bullet should definitely punch into, through, and out of the vitals. Probably from any aspect or angle. And with 11rds at my disposal i don't plan on being stingy with the lead.
If nothing else, after 11 deep penetrating center mass torso hits the bad guy will be a hell of a lot easier to beat up. ![]() The longer grip really transforms one's ability to shoot the pistol accurately and rapidly, as well as adding almost 30% more ammunition capacity. I have 4 short mags too. 2 of them have an extended finger groove on them (well they will when they get here in the mail, lol), 2 others are flush fit. This allows me to tailor the pistol to my concealement needs.

Their .380's aren't much bigger. I still have one but it doesn't get as much use since a Ruger LCP came along, that one got the CT laser. It does make a pretty practical chln gun, not much excuse not to be carrying something given their size/weight.

Your P7 goes out to the shop this week for a total transformation package. It will be gone a few months. Torture, but should be worth the wait once i finally get it back. I'll post pix for sure.

What the .32 loses in performance it gains in total absence of recoil and fast multi-shot accuracy potential. Even with the buffalo bore loads recoil is barely noticable. With the hot .380+P loads the little pocket .380s are quite a bit more of a handful and they do give up some capacity.

I don't think Keltec recommends +P in the P-32 or the P-3AT. As a minimum, you need to upgrade the springs.
If you haven't taken the P-32 completely apart, you need to. I've polished the trigger bar and all of the components of the trigger system, then use Miltec-1 grease on the trigger bar and all of the components under the grip, and Miltec-1 oil everywhere else. Polish the feed ramp for real smooth loading. I use jewelers rouge and a dremel with a polishing pad. Make everything shiny! There is a gunsmith down here in Texas who will nickle plate most Keltec pistols for cheap money. He also strips and coats magzines. This is great in Houston, with the humidity we have. My pistols are stainless or nickle plated.

The guy at the loki website i linked above also does full action jobs and re-finishes on Kel-Tecs too. He also gives ballistics/gel performance on all popular +P rounds as fired from a Kel-Tec P32 as well. Huh? Last edited by m21sniper; 09-29-2009 at 09:14 AM.. |

i think you have enough firepower there to accept the formal surrender of the entire french military as well as its naval fleet! LOL!
gotta love mouse guns. when something is better than nothing. my walther ppk/s has been wonderful this very long hot summer. if i ever get my hk4's back from robar i'll even be happier. with the hk4's i have the ability to go from .22-.25-.32-.380. check em out . based on old mauser design and cute as a bugs ear. parts are a pain, but prices are going up on them. |

Yeah there are definitely nicer(by nicer i mean classier and purtier) mouse guns out there- but none of them are as small as a Kel-Tec, and many weigh as much as 3x as much.
The HK4 is a nice piece, i'm sure they'll serve you well. ![]()

believe it or not those lil hk4's were hk's first importation ever to the u.s.. brought in by harrington and richardson.
they are a "novel" veapon. and to us hk nuts they are a nice edition to a collection. my carrys(2) have all the barrels. my other is a new in box, unfired,no moleste, .380 and .22 all serial numbas matching. it is 00058 out of 200. NRA 100% el perfecto. i decided on sending the (2) carrys that i got off gunbroker awhile back to robar. one was in fine condition maybe a 97%NRA and the other was a roach quite possibly from hurricane katrina. the bluing was in sorry shape as well as some pitting on slide. robar said they could clean it up. so i decided on dropping around $170 bucks on both being NP3'd. robar is waiting for .380 ammo so they can testfire both with hollowpoints. simple takedown to clean, and a nice throw in the pocket and not care about finish getting wasted, sumthang better than nothing veapon. i really like the lazer. nice addition. how many shots to "zero" lazer? |

I pre-zeroed the Crimson Trace laser to match my sight picture at 7yds prior to going to the range. That got me to within 1.5" low and to the right of point of aim. From there it took a few small adjustments and about 8 rds of ammo to get it fine tuned to match impact point to exact point of aim.
It's a damn pricey sight, but the laser is extremely bright, with full daytime visibility outdoors of 50+ feet. My AR laser is one of those cheap-o combo LED flashlight/laser combo units and while plenty bright for indoor/night time use it is totally useless in the daytime. The Crimson trace laser is easily 500% brighter. Last edited by m21sniper; 09-29-2009 at 09:57 AM.. |
