				2016 Olympics In Brazil

Bummer for Chicago and Madrid, but I'm pleased Rio de Janeiro was chosen for the 2016 Olympics. What an interesting location - lot more so than Chicago. Has there been an Olympics in South America before?

I saw all that live news coverage of Chicago getting the big news- it as sorta pathetic watching all those people sulk on TV 'ahhh'... You think after all this time with the Cubs, Chicago would be used to loosing.

Madrid would have been a great choice too. I like that city a lot. I once spent two days looking for slot car tracks and slot car stores in Madrid. Very interesting.

I suspect Madrid didn't get it because Barcelona had it not that long ago.

Me too, Chicago was the least interesting choice out of all of them, IMO. I'm glad Rio got it. The atmosphere would be crazy considering it's the 1st in South America. | ||
