UK government (local) spying on citizens...scary.

I really wish I could understand what is going on in the minds of UK citizens. They have been disarmed. Its seems like the law makes it impossible to even pick up a sharpened stick in ones defense. Now the governments intrusion into common citizens lives has reached the absurd.

Local officals following you for weeks and secretly getting a hold of your phone records to make sure your kid is going to the right school. Its not fiction folks, its the modern UK!

Did you see that they are putting micro chips in their policemen, so they always know where they are??

31,000 Met Police officers to be 'microchipped'
Source: Home | Mail Online
Every single Metropolitan police officer will be 'microchipped' so top brass can monitor their movements on a Big Brother style tracking scheme, it can be revealed today

Guys,

All canadian babies born in the last 10 years have had microchips. It's no big deal - this is why we don't have any child abductions up here anymore.

There was a big uproar at first but you get used to it.

With regard to phone records, the phone company doesn't send us bills anymore, they post them on the revenue canada website and we have to log in to download them. If we don't download them within 30 days, they just deduct the money from our bank accounts.

Also a big uproar at first but you get used to it. This system has allowed those with no fixed address to have cell phones.

I heard in the UK breaking and entering is not a crime unless the intruder actually steals something or otherwise harm's the homeowner. Can that be true?

That's an extreme case NY Times used as an example.

England is full of "ememy of the state" type persons, and they are very good at catching the ones planning on letting off a bomb or attacking an embasy, by using survalence (sp). THe school zoning system is always being cheated on too, so they keep an eye on persons whom they think arn't playing by the rules so there are places at the school available for those who genuinely live in the area. If anything England is too soft.

Oh yah, it's that way in all of the colonies too. All real property is ultimately owned by the crown anyway.

B&E's never happen tho.. maybe 15 times per year in all of Canada.

I don't see how Canada is relevant here with a little more than half the population of the UK and 15x the living space.

Especially when 2/3 of Canadians spend the winter in Lake Havasu, Arizona...

Really? All kids 10 and younger have a chip? That sounds like an internet rumor.

Right. Because "there are only 15 B&E's yearly in all of Canada". I'd leave my doors un-locked too...if it were true.

Are you joking? If you are not joking, how does micro chipping a child PREVENT them from being abducted?

I clicked the link later in the thread and that is not credible information. RFID chips were not around in 1972.

OK, glad to clear it up, you are not serious. BTW, the convention is that sarcasm is highlighted in green text.

So, you're saying that winter in time to invade Canada, since only 1/6th of the Population of 30,000,000 is left in the country.

Cool, get the tanks ready!

I'm not too worried, from what I have been reading in the OTF and the OT PARF, there is no money left to fuel up the tanks anyway...

We wouldn't need tanks to take over Canada. They expression on their faces when they see someone here carrying a gun leads me to believe it would be quite easy to walk in and dominate.
