I imagine Pete considers himself "The Who".

I would think that RD would have a thing or two to say about that.

(I wish it was Jimmy Page and Robert Plant instead, though.

Maybe next year.)

As long as they smash all of their equipment after playing "My Generation".

I saw them on some PBS special recently. The part I saw was them (Daltrey/Townshend) playing easy stuff as they gazed into each other's eyes.
As I recall, Townshend played a lot of acoustic. It was good to see them - I liked it. Townshend had those old-timer eyes, you know the ones...soft and easy, lots of wisdom showing. Great performers, them.

So was I but I could have sworn it was in about 1980.

Saw them in the early '70s and it was a good show. I wish that the SB could do better than to haul out all these ossified senior citizen rockers.

I am a big fan of their early and 70s work. Now with half of them dead and Townsend turning out to be a a child porn watching suspected pedophile?

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAaaa

I'm not a big fan, all I can think of when I hear about The Who is CSI Miami.

I know, that's sad.

Once you qualify for Medicaid, it's no longer rock and/or roll.

You couldn't have, I was at their farewell concert in 1980

I saw them a couple years ago and it was still a good show. Maybe better because it wasn't in a huge stadium.

I did see them in 1980, (end of general admission seating?) and was a huge fan, why I had to see them in 89. After 3 or 4 farewell tours and Pete"s "little" problem, I won't be fooled again! haha

I saw them on their first U.S. tour in 1966. They were the opening band for Herman's Hermits. They destroyed everything. I would not have wanted to follow that act. The crowd booed The Hermits when they came on.

OK, so are we supposed to believe you were a cool guy and a fan of the Who, or a geek and a fan of the Hermits

I will admit I was a Hermits fan, and I went to the concert to see them. I did not understand the Who at that time. My music taste has evolved sine then.
