Jim I'm thinking we need to put together a big enough team to make it a two pronged attack... A team on 2 wheels and a team on 4... See if we can do it for as little money as possible....

What are the car classes? Gary Emory once talked of building a trick 1500 cc 356 for Bonneville. Dunno if he ever did it though.

They've got more classes than an SCCA autocross...I ordered a rule book to try and figure it out. I think they have production, modified, altered, streamliners, specials, circletrack, etc then broken out by displacment, N/A, supercharged, blown, turbo, gas, alchohol, fuel...really convoluted. On motorcycles they break out by 2 stroke, 4 stroke, pushrod/non-pushrod, # cylinders.... I'll let ya know when I receive rule book.

I looked at some of the records and there are some porsche entrants/rcords back in the '90's..."Bruch Porsche" ring a bell?

The runway is not a smooth ride. At 130 the joint between the concrete slab are hitting pretty hard. When our region PCA do an AX there we are usually using the taxiway and leave the mile run free, so during lunch time people can do high speed pass. In the picture below the tower in the left is where they do the timing, the main runway is the other side of the short guardrail, and the timing strip is in front of the tower. The car are coming at speed from the left side of the picture, my car is on the taxiway.
