I am soooo in i have a 370cc bultaco engine looking for a project......I'm down to help either the 2 wheels or the 4. getting 53 on a bike wont be that hard at all even with only 50cc large sprocket, large wheels, lightweight.

Ummm....lessee...370cc Bultaco motor in some lightwieght frame. Likely would be in the modified class. Best I can tell there are some serious folks getting serious speed.

I think the classification are something like: "M/G-400/2" ="MODIFIED GAS 400CC 2 STROKE"

"F" STANDS FOR FUELLIE

So the records for 400cc modified 2 strokes are between 131 and 151 mph

You DO have some Built-ta-Go's

Wasn't the Alpina a trials bike? Or enduro? I noticed what appeared to be some modified trials bikes in the ECTA website photos.

You know if we could find some small lightweight chassis with a blown engine...say an old honda/yamaha/Kagasaki 125 enduro bike and wedge that Bull in there, strip the bike, clip ons, RR rubber you might suprise some folks.

exactly they took the famous sherpa and enlarged the tank, seat , changed the engine slightly etc for longer rides and distances... mine and my brothers are 350cc and my father owns a 175 lobito which was their motocrosser before the pursang when the races where scrambles with only like 1 or 2 jumps. I'm looking for used bul's constantly.

Dunno...but I ran across an article in some PCA regional newsletter where a guy wit a 2.2 RR 911T(?) ran 125 and the record for his class was 128. I'll see if I can find it and post a link.

Speaking of 911s at Maxton...found this

Late to this party, but on speed records from Dueller, I find this hard to believe from page 1 of this thread

500 CC Records
894 P/P-500/2 Snart Racing Kathy Henry May-04 97.126
P/P-500/4 Gio's Racing S. Mullins Oct-00 121.457
P/P-500/R Darth Rotor Scott Guthrie Jun-99 113.065
P/PP-500/4 Scott Guthrie Racing Scott Guthrie May-98 114.943
P/PB-500/4 Scott Guthrie Racing C. McNamara May-98 113.498
P/PB-500/R Darth Rotor Scott Guthrie Jun-99 112.923
5007 P/PV-500/4 Bright Star Racing David Anderson Jun-07 89.424

I have a 1930 Rudge Whitworth Grand Prix Ulster that had a factory guarantee of 100 MPH. Apologies on the pic, but I took it today. I'm hoping to do a ring job on it over the holidays.
