I Like Plaid Underwear
Please excuse this homage to the late Dr Seuss. Like the FS: Belly Button Lint thread, this post won't make sense to most of you and I can't explain it at this time.
I don't like plaid underwear.  I don't like it on a boat,  I don't like it in a coat,  I don't like on a train, I don't like it in the rain, I don't like it on a box,  I don't like it with a fox. scroll down wait for it....  Hmm, I changed my mind. I DO like plaid underwear after all. -Chris PS PlaidLint, if you're reading this, I like the boxer short and the boat plaids

Anything plaid on a woman is hot , especially those short pleated plaid skirts and white socks and................. oh never mind!

Ok, it is time to shed some light on this subject. The cat was officially let out of the bag tonight.
About a year ago on a cold and windy November day. Some friends of Chris Bennet pooled their collective (limited) intellect and boosted his wrecked 911. Perhaps it was not the most legal of decisions but it was for a good cause. We were going to rebuild it for him and give him the nice car that he deserves. This is the begining of a very long and twisted tale so it may be prudent to shed some light on the type of person that is friends with Chris. One of the perps in on the boost had a wife that was in labor before he left. His daughter has just turned one year old... now that should set some of the background. If you know Chris then you would know that one day at Lime Rock he used his Porsche as a battering ram on a helpless tire wall. For a variety of reasons, mainly time he was not able to rebuild it. Chris is one of those people that eats, breathes, and lives Porsches. He has been known to help a fellow enthusiast by lending out key pieces of his car even if he just barely knew you. He would never take anything in return and insisted that what ever part, no matter how deeply it was buried in the engine or suspension, it was no problem to get to. It is just the type of guy he is. This entire operation needed to be done behind his back so we could actually give him something back. So leading up to the day when Chris's car was unskillfully removed from his driveway and a roller was puchased to be loaded with all of the good parts from Chris's '86. To make a very long story short over the course of a year a group of people worked on the roller to remove the sun roof, prep, and paint it in Nogaro Blue (Audi S4 Color). Then all of the parts were installed on the roller and it was brought back to life.  There were over 40 people involved with what has now been dubbed "Operation 911" all in various degrees. There was a core group that really pushed the project forward through many different challenges and sucesses. You can imagine how difficult it was to build a car from the ground up staffed with only volunteer labor. All of the parts and supplies that were needed were donated, traded for, or scabbed out of personal inventories. Thanks everyone for all that you have done for the project.  This is just a short introduction of the story and I am not going to do justice to it. You should all look forward to updates from Chris and the other members of Operation 911. This goes to show that no good deed goes unpunished. Remember, especially during this holiday season that friends are worth their weight in engine, suspension, and interior components. Thanks, Chris for all you have done this is the least we could do. I would also like to thank you for putting up with the silly pranks that we have asked of you. Each of us has our skills, Chris fixes Porsches and I use my over active imagination to give people enourmous amounts of grief. Very nice story but there is only EDIT two people wearing plaid in the photo, its not underwear and he aint very sexy to boot!
 How about some names of those involved!! They deserve some recognition. Read the website but it stops before the car is finished. Hope its updated soon.
