dressing for the cold helps along with staying active. Here is my daughter skiing, I think it was -15 that day.

I don't handle it as well as i used to. Get'n old i guess.
I have to chain up to get my truck (Peterbilt) up our town road and into the garage.
Buy the time i get one set of triples and a set of singles on my fingers are numb.

Az....no thanks.

There is such a thing as a happy medium.
I'd take those temps every day before subzero temps for one day. I don't mind the heat here at all. It's pretty hot for about three mos. and I can always escape up to N. AZ for the day and be in 20 deg. cooler weather. Nine mos. of the year we have perfect weather. I did my 25 yrs. on the east coast. I never want to deal with humid summers or cold winters ever again.

I'll second that.

Tragically, I married an East Coast Girl who believes that everything west of the Appalachians is "The Great Unconquered West" and would divorce me if I got a job out in that wilderness.

Oh well. You get used to stifling humidity pretty quick, really.

I live in So GA and I am praying for about 4-6 inches of snow, I know it can happen and I am waiting for the day it will.

I'm with Rick. The heat doesn't bother me. I was in AZ in August this year. I just went from shade to shade. The only part of heat the really bothers me is where it's hot and there's no air moving....like indoors. I get queasy.

I dont have too many winter pics yet, but this was with my phone camera from the other day..... taken in my driveway just before heading up the mountain.

was about 0C here and -5C in the hills. 10 Ft of fresh snow to play in.

I like seeing the pics! Thanks.

It was -22F here this morning. But one of the nice things about frigid air -- it's DRY. That means two things. One, damp sticks to you, dry doesn't (entrainment doesn't work as well). Second, there isn't enough capacity in the air to form clouds, so it's SUNNY. Which makes it feel warmer (radiation) and lifts your spirits. I'd rather have 10 degrees, sunny, and dry than 29 degrees, damp, and cloudy.
