18 degrees this morning but still took the Targa out to run some errands.
It was sunny and having a black leather interior is a lot better in the winter then sticking to the seats in the summer. I only have the passenger side heater hooked up and I was nice and toasty.

I was born in Ontario Canada and enjoyed many winters as a child there. My family moved to Massachusetts where I endured 30 some odd winters until I moved to San Diego in 2004. I didn't think it was a big deal until my second winter in SoCal with no snow or pot holes etc.
We moved back to New England in 2007 and I just have to say that I can't stand it. The cold, the miserable people (due to the cold), the crap roads etc. I understand how people who have never lived away from the colder climates can't understand how nice it is to not endure a winters icy grip. I'm working to get back ASAP

As long as I am dressed for it, the cold does not bother me much. Now walking from the shop to the house in 15-20 mph winds and single digit temps without a coat on is not pleasant, but so long as one dresses for it the cold is not cold. I am truly more miserable when doing outside work in 90 plus temps in the summertime.

Deal with it? Hell, it looks like you live in paradise to me! I would love to spend some time snowmobiling through that gorgeous winter wonderland. We have only had a couple 1-2 " snowfalls here in NW Ohio and I am jealous.

Keep active. I don't know what you're used to doing outside, but I'd rather haul firewood, burn brush, walk the dogs and such when it is 20 degrees, than mow the lawn when it is over 85. Seriously, as I was told at one of my jobs on Christmas Break during college: "The heat's in the tools", stay dry and active and you should be plenty warm.

I just continue to tell myself that it is NOT cold, and that global warming is real. That should reassure the doubters.

World class sledding where I live.....
Our local mountain (Owls Head, Sicamous) was just awarded #1 in 7 out of 10 snowmobile awards this year!

The ski hills are very good too, but that's just what we do while we wait for summer.....

I can't stand cold!

Well, as a fairly junior pilot for a major airline...I typically wind up in Baton Rouge in the summer and Grand Forks, North Dakota in the winter. I don't mind either, since they are both great towns to go out in.

Dammit! I am home in Fort Lauderdale tonight and I had to put on a shirt when I checked my 928 tonight! It is 50F/10C here; I have a roaring fire in the fireplace. My house has a heat-pump, but no actual "heat". Dammit at this rate I won't be able to sleep naked~

Damn Rob, you're making me jealous. I've never gone snowmobiling but I'm dying to try. I love the winter and the snow, you can always put on more clothes. I have a nice set of overalls and a my old work coat, that will handle anything KS has to throw at me. 18 and snow today and I was good and cozy.

2 hrs to ski slopes and all the snow you can shovel. From slopes it's 2 hrs to beach for shorts and bbq We just got back from a trip to SLC. We were in awe of the snow falling as we drank our morning coffee...in awe of the mountains covered in snow...the winter scenery...

Then we drove home to SoCal and rolled our windows down & ordered Carne Asada burritos at our favorite in-town drive through. Brought us back to our senses right quick like

Not enough snow around here. When I've gone to CO in the winter it's been to ski, I've never made it to the snowmobiles. Next time I'm in the mountains I'll skip a day of skiing and give it a shot. I love ATVs, snowmobiles look even better.

Skiing and snowmobiling would be favorites of mine...if you did them in summertime.
