San Francisco Airport Parking - How Much

Going on vacation next week and the norm is for me to meet my brother-in-law at his house in the marina and we take the super shuttle to the airport.

However, this year, I was thinking I might just park at the airport. The Super Shuttle is $27 for 2 people (round trip = $54 plus tips). Last year, we were the last people to be dropped off and the trip home took almost 2 hours (would be 30-40 minutes by car).

So, I was looking online for Airport Parking and I can't figure out what's what. There are numerous companies selling parking and I'm not sure if I will be at the airport or someones front lawn.

Does anybody in the area who travels know what they normally charge for 7 days parking?

One more thing.... is parking airline specific. Since the airport is pretty huge, I don't want to be 10 miles from United.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Take the BART - by far the easiest choice at SFO

I know it's easy but there are no BART stations in the marina district and we got ski bags, suit case, and carry on. It's either get driven or drive. And, I'm picking up my cousin in Redwood City.

I just thought driving would be easiest, I pick up everyone and we all save on the shuttle cost.

I finally found the parking and it's $14 a day - not dirt cheap but cheaper than shuttle for 3 from two different pickups.

Thanks!

Do you have to fly out of SFO? Oakland has a lot of service too and you don't pay all the silly surcharges. At least that's the way it used to be - way cheaper. You pay a premium and a bundle of extra taxes out of SFO.

Parking at SFO has historically been a beotch. At $14 a day, as long as it's manned 24/7 (secure) and you can take your keys, that's probably best.

I have parked at FastTrak airport parking (both SFO and OAK) for five years. I usually park enough to get a week's free parking every year. Sign up online and you can usually get $11-12 a day, weekly rate is better. I pick them because: 1) Frequent, uncrowded shuttles; 2) prompt pickup in the lot; 3) Full size shuttle (not a van).
