I believe that he posted in one of the 'nasty' threads (frequent as of late) that he felt it was time for a personal 'time out'.

When I go down to L.A. for a run at Big Willow, I'll invite him to come along for a ride.

Thanks for the concern boys. Just a confluence of stuff, though I did give myself a self-imposed "time out" after one too many nasty threads.
Beyond that, work is crazy, ramping up a new project, continuing another, and got another dropped in my lap. Been back and forth to AZ a few times already this year, am off to Boston this week and Ft. Lauderdale the week after. On the plus side, joined a funk band on bass so I have weekly rehearsal with them. Also put together a sort of twisted classic rock trio thing on guitar going so I've been working up tunes and getting the book for that together. Being a sideman on bass isn't too much work. Leading the band on guitar and vocals is way too much work. But might as well stuff as much into life as you can while still upright. |

It sounds like your having a good time, Todd. Kudos, and best wishes on the band(s).
Just turn off your computer, Matt. Just turn off your computer. ![]() ![]()

Actually the band is more a mix of a bit more subtle funk (does that exist?) and acid jazz. So for instance tunes by Greyboy Allstars, Brand New Heavies and Liquid Soul along with Tower of Power, Meters, Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, etc.
I did buy an envelope filter though, so the Bootsy conversion has begun. Now I just need some diapers... |

I get in Tuesday night - am staying in Natick. I'm nose down on work all day Wed and Thu, then fly out at 8:30pm Thursday night. If anyone is close to Natick I might be able to do something Wed night. I figure it'll be 9pm before I get to the hotel Tues night and I have an early call the next morning.

Where in Natick? There are a few nice restaurants in Natick/Wellesley.

I'm at the Crowne Plaza in Natick. I know nothing of the area, and will just hope to be able to pilot the rental car from Logan to there. I remember driving around Boston back in '87. I'm just now recovering
