Idiots falling through the ice. WTF?!!!

We've had day temps in the upper 20's, low 30's for the past few weeks. In January, we had several days when the temp got close to 40-45.


Yesterday, some douche fell through Saginaw Bay on his snowmachine. He has his two children with him. Luckily, they got out safely but what are people thinking?

The Coast Guard has warned that the ice is not stable right now and to stay off large lakes.

Several people have lost their lives in the past month or so due to ice breaking under them.

Sure, it's probably Darwin workin' OT but have a clue, people!!! Especially with your kids.

That man had a STRONG Darwin instinct. To try to take himself out & the kids that are already born is going above and beyond the call of Darwin. I hope they charged him with 100% of the cost of any rescue.

Every freakin' year. On my brothers lake some genius put his snow machine through the ice, he got out and fell through again on his way to shore. Darwin didn't give him a second chance. It is sad, but these people just seem to be asking for it.

I have more sympathy for the rescue workers that risk their lives. And know that they are risking their lives.

I used to stand on the shore and tell them as they went out that it's been too warm to be out there and they are on their own.. They go out anyways.... No I don't give a crap and LOL when they fall in and everyone says OMG you don't care? You must be evil! Even though I've lost snowmobiles, a truck, and damn near drowned myself. Yeah, I'm the heartless one! Been there done that and learned my lesson! I was there warning them again and again before their trip, people just don't get it until it happens to them, that's the bottom line.
