Well, I didn't cut and paste from their website ![]() I base my claim on the fact that almost every woman I met via various online services was signed up at multiple sites. eHarmony is likely reporting their "success" numbers based on the questionnaire that they give when you end your service. iirc, it does not necessarily distinguish between "now in a relationship" driven by eHarmony or another service. Thus you could have someone who ended their eHarmony service because they found someone on match.com, and eH would count that as a success. Any dating site, intelligently applied, can provide a better likelihood of meeting someone than the "old fashioned way." While eHarmony touts itself as scientific, my empirical results were that it was no better odds than any other site, and in fact was more difficult for someone who favored quick and open communication because of the way they control the process. So for some their system provides a "safer" feel, but imho it is a false sense of security because in the end you are dealing with a digital representation of an analog person. While personality quizzes can provide some insight, the eHarmony system is no MMPI, and people can game the system and/or have a false sense of who/what they really are. ymmv, but my opinions are based on first-hand knowledge of the systems and processes. Everyone is different, but the challenges of online dating exist no matter how clever the designer thinks they are, or how well they write ad copy. |

You've got quite a lot of speculation going on there, Todd.
Also, it's very telling to note that I got bumped off when I clicked to preview my response, having quoted your post, and when logging back in, I see that you have totally changed your post in an attempt to wiggle out of the points I made because you came off looking very stupid using typical lackluster logic. How lame of you. Is that what a moderator does if he doesn't care about his credibility? Busted. But that's okay, your arguments in your newly adjusted response don't hold up either. And I'm saving this one, so it'll get through eventually. I think what happened to cause your crusade here is that you paid eHarmony for a membership for a period of time and nobody was interested in you based on what was in your profile and you got your feelings hurt because you paid money and got no results... that would be just like the "it's all about me" Toddster to try to have some payback in response. And that's speculation on my part. In your previous response, you said that eHarmony could have fudged the numbers on their statistics. Again... more lameness on your part. "Could have?" Seriously? Any thinking person would know that eHarmony would not let its members claim that their results were based on their service if the questionnaire wasn't specific in asking if they met their match on eHarmony. Also, another thing you aren't thinking about is that eHarmony and Harris Interactive have too much at stake to fudge numbers in that 2007 poll which found that an average of 236 eHarmony members marry every day.

Sounds like she traded one addiction to another.
But realistically, she is probably more capable of being a productive member of society while "addicted to God".

Haven't read the whole thread but why on earth would you be concerned with fixing up this broad anyways? Let her run her own life. I have generally have zero sympathy for people who are not in relationships. (Including myself). Usually they don't really want to be in one, whether they realise it or not.

Isn't eharmony a x-tian dating site? That's what I always thought. Not sure if the people in the commercials are real but if so, a lot of people who look like doogers are finding love there. That's not bad.

In fact, the sexual deviants recently won a lawsuit that requited that eharmony include a dating service for them too. Guess bookstores and bathhouses and alley-ways weren't enough for them ![]() BTW that was a joke, stereotypical as it was. she sounds like my cousin.... very very religious, doesn't do drugs, drink, smoke or anything fun, but draws the line on anything having to do with sex....loves it, nympho.... gets with a guy, then when he figures out he can't handle the " religious" part, dumps her... let the stalking begin... & if I introduced them...
