i was thinking the same thing, mostly. i think, however, we are seeing the results of a generous application of H2O2.

edit: then again, maybe not. however, an infection would look much 'redder' and inflamed than that.

again, please tell us that you don't have diabetes.

I'd keep that nail and cast it in some clear resin.

Gassy, that is EXACTLY what I am going to do. I impregnate rocks everyday in epoxy, and I'll do the nail tomm.

Not diabetic.

Haven't applied peroxide since yesterday. Been trying to keep it dry. Been using antibiotic spray ever so often. Also in regards to the 'puss' I am fairly certain that is just some leftover neosporin. I hope.

I got a call from the wife the other day as breyce and i were heading home from baseball. She's is hyperventilating crying for me to hurry home.

I jammed home and found judi on the couch crying. she had tried to pick up the blind crazy cocker spaniel to take it outside to go to the bathroom.

It clamped down on here finger and when she pulled her thumb out of maggies mouth the canine ( large pointy tooth ) ripped all the way through her nail from the cuticle to the end

tetenus (sp?) shot and lots of neosporin

Well, I don't see pink/red skin nearby, so I hope it is neosporin (anti-biotic cream).

Good luck with the salt-waterboarding! I hope your toe "talks" sooner rather than later

It's actually not that bad! Starting to get cold though. Now the question is do I put neosporin and a band aid or just neosporin and sleep. I am worried about fuzz.

Gotta watch out for the fuzz.

Tom pore some kerosene on that toe or give it a soak in it.

Draws the soreness out.

Tom the most bandage you want is a light gauze layer to keep stuff out of it.... just make sure it can still breathe.... If you can get by with none that would be preferred....

You want it moist, not wet. Me no likey peroxide for much of anything. You want it to drain until it is ready to stop, or it can scab over and end up forming an abcess. Cover with a bandaid. Look closely at the nail bed, is it intact?

that is coal oil boy, he is in Texas after all. BTW Tom, don't do that.

For the dog bite on the finger, I would usually go with Augmentin(anti-biotic)

Soak in warm salty water, 15-20 minutes at a time, few times a day, good for the finger or the toe. If you are going to use the whirlpool deal, you want to rinse it out with a 10% bleach solution, 1 part bleach, 9 parts water post soaking.

I will say it again, cover with bandaid, anti-biotic cream is better than ointment. Neosporin frequently causes contact dermatitis.
