I am related to a Carol Caroll (married in to that last name)

Grew up with a chinese girl whose name I don't think I could spell now but was pronounced "shining shoe".

Also used to play youth soccer with a guy whose last name was Seamans. We all thought it was funny of course, and I recall that we would joke with each other that his dad's name was Richard. Then one year my dad was the coach and collected the checks at the beginning and... the "joke" was true. Richard Seamans. He was actually a pretty cool guy, but rough deal on that name!

I once worked with a very attractive woman who's last name was Dickhard. She eventually had the spelling legally changed to Dikhardt.

I currently work with a guy who's surname is Hardman. Always makes me think of that old twist on the often-heard woman's lament..."A hard man is good to find".

My father was named after a Hollywood actress. He had more than a few schoolyard fights. I am a Jr., but she is mostly forgotten. Mostly.

I knew a Mike Wildman when I was in the Navy. He was not really a wild man, pretty mild mannered really.

And my SIL's sister is a perdiatric nurse. She walked into the examination room with the records and began to speak:

"O.k. well it looks like.......like "Shady Nasty" has a slight fever and...."

she told us the mother jumped up and said: "uh-uh!! Oh no you didn't!!! My baby name is Sha-dynasty!!"

When I bartended, a guy used to come in and open a tab with the name Abdul Abdullah Odinga.

I always thought it was a cool name. If you say the whole thing, it almost has a musical quality.

My last name is my userID. It's pronounced Mass-Rum, but 98% of the time, folks add letters.

The most common mispronunciations are
Mastrum
mashrum
mashroom
mascrum
marsum

Reminds me of a street on the north side of Houston. It's spelled Kuykendahl, but folks pronounce it Kirkendoll. I refuse to believe that it's supposed to be pronounced like that.

My postal carrier is from Central Viet Nam, his name is pronounced "Hi". People think I'm messing with him when I greet him with "Hello Hi".

The guy that ran the planetarium in high school: Dr. Michael Hunt.

Some random guy in college: Spooner (never knew his last name).

I work with a Tijuana Hooker (married name), a Kurien George, an Archana Mandala, and an Emily Brickhouse (she's a BRICK----HOUSE!).

My last name is extremely unique in this country, to the point that there are only three people in the country with my same first/last name. We are all probably related, but I have no idea how. And I don't post my last name online because it is so identifiable.
