The pistol in the box is not a 1911, it is a 1903 Pocket Model .32
There are 4 of them, 1 NOS blued, 1 like new Parkerized, 1 nice blue and a marginal
The SxS are 12 gauge Parker Bros. One full engraved (including barrel)
The flintlock is a lot nicer than the 30 years of storage patina reflects.

There seems to be 2 different varieties of 1903 early and late maybe?
The four listed above disassembles much like a 1911. The other has a different design.

What are the German SS rifles?

Ok so now I'm interested in the boxed 1903 hammerless pocket and the Savage 1907. I'm sure Tabs will be all over the Parkers. Too much for my blood.

The Parkerized 1903 32 Pocket should have a "US PROPERTY" stamped on it.

The Germans & Swiss liked their SS target rifles..usually in 8.15 X 46 MM...However the European stuff goes for a fraction of similar American or Brit made target rifles.

For a small consideration I can appraise your collection..meaning for a good deal on one or two of the guns...

BTW..I know all the players in S CA...having dealt with most of them for 20 years or more...I know who is honest and who is not..

I have the reference material, I watch prices at auction every week across the US and even internationally.

I can even suggest two or 3 game plans to dispose of the collection. Even the strategies for selling yourself.

Don't know if you caught this article in the LA Times monday. Where can you check the auction prices? Tabs, what kind of 20g you looking for I might be selling one of mine.

Talk about a find. The Luger went for $150 back in the 1950's only to see $1 million not that long ago.

Parker, Fox, Ithaca, Rizzini...

The gun market is very strong...some things get hot and then cool, while others pick up the slack.

Lugers were flat for nearly 20 years...then along about 2003 boom they doubled..now they have cooled, come down a bit and flattened.

Problem with Lugers is that they are easily faked...that has put a big damper on them. Gale Morgan up in San Jose can make ANY luger variation you want and you can not tell.. Fortunately he is honest. So I would be especially carefull of any RARE variation you come across. The standard WW1 and WW2's are about the only ones I would basically trust fairly easily.

Early Colt 1911's are also easily messed with and enhanced...restored so that one has to be very carefull of what one is looking at on the raritys. I know one S CAL gun dealer that has a long reputation of finding mint specimens all the time...HMMMMM..problem with that is the 2 ND and 3rd owners lose the papaer trail and suddenly WOW look at the original mint condition rarity you have just found...and for only 5000....

Colt SAA's and Percussions...they have been collectable for so long and for so much money...ya gotta watch out...also back in the day if a part broke they replaced it..barrel wore out they replaced it...so on the US military variations for the most part it is mix and match parts.

Springfield 1903''s, M1 Garands & Carbines. As military weapons they were rebuilt and rebuilt with mix and match parts taken from the parts barrel..and that was just by the US military.

High Grade Shotguns...let us just say ENHANCED...and restored...when looking at those beastys I wana see some wear and tear from 50 to 100 years of use... I wana see factory records...and anything that is tooooo clean....UMMMMMMMM

But as with anything every spoon has a story to tell just by looking at it...and most alterations can be spotted...it is when you step up to the mega dollar stuff that the fakers are not so easy to spot.

I know Greg.. One of his buddies was RL Wilson who went to jail for fraud...and Pete Harvey is another partner...At one of the Gun shows I picked up a fairly rare DA Smith Pete had looked it over told him it was a refinished gun and why..he put it back in his case and said he didn't care...it was just $3250.00...

I found a US Springfield Krag Military School...one of 500 that was built at the Rock Island Arsenal along about 1910 out at an auction in of all places Phrump, NV for $850....talk about RARE...

I have seen 3 of them in 30 years...2 were at Pahrump, the other was pretty beat...ya gotta know what you are lookin at...that is $3000 gun if it is a dime.

Greg had an auction several years back...before the auction he was showing some of thestuff at the gun show Over Paid slacker and I atttended..in that auction he had a Slotter Beck Percussion rifle that was mint...ir was an 1864 Philidelphia Exposition piece..it sold for about 11k.

I knew where a John Krider Phili percussion rifle was for 7k (dealer in Houston). I JUMPED ON THE PHONE AND BOUGHT IT FOR 6500. Later this month another Krider percussion is going up for auction with an estimate of 10K to 15K...That same Slotterbeck rifle has just been auctioned again in Maine. I will have to check and see if it sold and for how much?

Also a John Krider Cased with all the goodies sold privately for 30K...

Late last year I bought a John Krider SXS shotgun, you've seen the pic, that was a bit rough for $200 at an auction. If it were cleaner 4000 to 6000 would not be outa line. The other bidders just didn't know...

What caliber? Very nice guns, used to shoot one in .45-70 and loved the gun.

At an auction that was overseas I bought a S&W Tripleolock 44 spl Target wt a factory FOUR inch barrel for 2800 gun was refinished ...showed a well known Smith dealer he offered 2500 and said he would sell it for 3000. Sold that puppy for 7000 to a CA collector

Ifit had bin an original finish it woulda bin worth 12K...I sold it because it was a refinish, otherwise it would still be here.

I will never see another one like it, as it was a special order from 1913. RARE

My latest aquisition was on Monday...a Under Hammer percussion action that is new and unused marked "KB".....now why the fk would I buy that for 200....

Well KB are the initials for Ken Bresein....Ken set records at the Friendship BP Matches, was a well known BP barrel maker and action maker. He also built or should I say rebuilt SS BP rifles...they roughly go for about $2500...BTW Ken is now retired and has health issues...

The action is worth about 500 to 700...

1911 heaven. Nice collection. The B appears to be the same as mine. Look at the barrel and see if it's smooth, with the bluing gone at the end of the barrel. If it is, and it's a .32, it was probably an SS boot gun. They're not worth a whole lot because so many were made, but the history behind them is something else.

At the end of the war, SS guys were dug out, marched into the nearest field, and shot with their own boot gun. My late uncle watched this action from a train car, then ran out and snatched the gun after the army troops left it by the dead guy. Maybe a little morbid, but history nonetheless.

The one in front is a 7x57 Liberty addition. 1976
I have two more both liberty additions
7x57 with Leopold scope
6mm Rem with scope rings
All 4 appear to be unfired.

Very nice and the #1 is a good rifle. Love shooting them.

What are the inspector's initials on these? I believe they should stamped above the trigger. Any with JLK?
