Remington Rand 1911 was made in the 40s,value for one with all original parts would be between 1000-1500,,with aftermarket parts the value drops to a shooter grade pistol but still should value between 400-500 and may be a bit more if a collectors looking for original parts to restore another pistol or wants to take on the restoration project. Just my Opinion, OMV.

Not a challenge, just a question: Why so much?

That seems like an incomplete answer. Nothing else?

What more do you need?

That particular pistol costs $2k for the same reason a P7 M13 costs $2k.

Rarity.

WW2 US military. All that stuff has gone over the moon. To find MINT condition in those pistolas is getting tougher.

Opinions vary i guess.

It's really no big deal, but it's kind of like, "Ahhh!" ;)

Just to alleviate the angst about destroying a 1911, this morning I converted it to a 22 caliber target pistol. Tomorrow it might be a 45 again.

Happier now guys??? Cheers >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> BTW: black powder 1911 conversion kit for sale..............

A lot happier. Sad to tell you but doubt that anyone will buy a ".45 auto black-powder conversion kit" to ANYONE!
